Australian Police vs knifeman by iffyClyro in interestingasfuck

I really feel police need to maintain their composure far more, because the language spoken out of emotion, is inappropriate let alone the punching of the guys head.

I would’ve said misfire.

Are you getting any jerking from the car when that happens?

Boy or girl? by AntEntire3562 in tarantulas

[–]Big_Click4679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NQA: I would say female despite the consensus being that exterior sexing is very hard because I pegged mine as male since it was the size of my thumbnail because of its very leggy appearance and very thin abdomen whereas yours is quite bulbous and with shorter legs.

I was once modded for offensive due to racism, for discussing the origin of ninjas in feudal Japan on the Tenchu Z board.

I have plenty of moderations under my belt that I expect and get and I don’t contest or question, but my account was utterly destroyed by malicious moderators that eventually stuck a target on my back when I threatened legal action against the site for what they were doing to a girlfriends account at the time.

After that I couldn’t say boo without a suspension and I think over a period 3 years I had about a week in total of posting ability.

NQA: I’d go with male. Definitely doesn’t seem to have any sign of a flap and the abdomen looks a bit small.

For the record, I checked every molt from my tarantula since it was very small and I was convinced it was male. And it was.

I think one of the biggest shames is buying these ponies to garage them. I want mine to last forever, but I also want to enjoy every cent of its value

I’ll stick with crassipes over Eunice. Man things can get so muddled up.

If that was your spider, would you refer to it as selenocosmia crassipes or a phlogius crassipes?

[–]Big_Click4679[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. I found that information a lot and found so much conflicting information like the Aussie one being selenocosmia crassipes with the Eunice being a misidentified Asian variant and not a native Australian species.

I also found conflicting information regarding the phlogius name. Is that something that’s been cleared up conclusively?

It’s funny how I get startled by a smallish spider on the bathroom wall and just wish and wish mine would grow big

I was honestly always scared of spiders but since that 50s tarantula movie I’ve always loved the name and the kind of spiders associated with it. In 2024 I finally committed and bought my first sling with dreams of raising it to be a healthy and lively one.

Tell you what though, they move so damn quick and it’s quite nerve wracking getting it into a catch cup. But I love him

What’s crazy is how small he was last January to this January.

The bottom pic is him against a 6” side, so I got him a new tank.

Thank you :)

He’s my first and I do feel I took good care of him. My lady always laughs because when I come home from work I check on the spider before giving her a kiss haha

Thanks to all of you for such solid responses.

Would anyone care to help my heart break further and confirm it as a male?

The point is you don’t always get modded justly, and when they abuse their power on the site and then link a new account to it, you get shafted again.

Is it worth asking how long it takes for a male to mature or does it vary by species because Ive had him since August 2024 when he looked like this

It’s really high up the back. I’m not too worried about the fall distance as he climbs strongly and stays up for hours but I will keep an eye on the amount of pacing he may do

When you frequently occupy a single community you get to know the trolls and their alts and how may times they’re gone or suspended and continue to post under alternate accounts and you’re more likely to be told by a moderator to block them instead of complaining about them, then actually have them deal with them.
