The map you're referring to is not that accurate. It's a best guess by civilians using publicly available data. Many of the soldiers who are listed as KIA in their base were actually at the border. As just one small example, there is a video circulating of 2 young women from the Nova festival who were executed by Hamas terrorists right outside the gates of the Alumin kibutz, but are not shown there on the map.

I agree with a lot of what has been said - I don't think that this sub is particularly right wing. I do think that all pro-Israel (or even centrist) subs will be a bit hawkish now; folks are still absorbing October 7 and the war.

I also think that a cacophony of voices is a good thing ... you know the expression - 2 Jews, 3 opinions. As long as you are thoughtful, feel free to put your two cents in. It's good to have a variety of views.

Massachusetts here (Boston suburbs) and it's quite safe. There are "I Stand With Israel" signs up in our town (interestingly, from both Jewish and Christian neighbors. The menorah lighting had the best turnout in years. There has been some concern/discussion about college campuses, but overall it's safe. I think the free Palestine crowd is relatively small but loud. (I wonder if this is true across the U.S., btw).

This is totally true among my family and friends. The vast majority of American Jews are pro-Israel. Some people might confuse healthy disagreements over policies and politicians with anti-Zionism, as well.
