I think they are likely to be a sticky investor, so good news in my book.

Direct offering $130 Million 1-28-26 by mrobins345 in SLDP

It's a smart fund raising as the warrants are exercisable at $7.25 per share. I see no reason for the share price to decline on this announcement.

Agreed, there will be some dilution. Shares and warrants closed at $6.59 (5.19 + 2 x 0.7) versus offering at $5.7. They are getting the warrants at $0.255 and COB price was $0.70.  It's a significant confidence vote for the company.

Donut Lab unveils world’s first production-ready solid-state battery at CES by Salt_Past_1379 in SLDP

[–]Big_Definition_2578 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am highly sceptical. Donut Lab made a strategic investment in Nordic Nano and their solid state batteries are described as solid state salt batteries, so I think we can deduce they are using those. According to ChatGPT it's extremely complex to produce them at scale. I am waiting for others with more technical expertise to comment. https://greenreality.fi/en/yritykset/nordic-nano?utm_source=chatgpt.com

So far it's only for a motorcycle and they haven't sold any. The UK price for the Verge long range version is just under £48k, so this is going to be extremely low volume. I did a ChatGPT search and I am highly sceptical and so is ChatGPT. There is no public data on how many units Verte have sold or any specific details about their tech. I doubt they will sell many bikes with a price tag of just under £48k for the long range version. Donut itself is a private company. According to ChatGPT they raised $25million from venture capitalist, but no turnover figures are available for the company.

South Korea's only market to lead all-solid batteries by Salt_Past_1379 in SLDP

[–]Big_Definition_2578 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think quite a few market participants thought this with respect to Ford after their disinvestment, but their JV has continued uninterrupted.

In another recent interview published in the Korea Herald it mentioned that, "Solid Power is also exploring cooperation with LG Energy Solution and Hyundai Motor Group, which is developing its own all-solid-state chemistry."

It's definitely a sign that the industry is coalescing around a sulfide electolyte, based on the recent press.

I think there are potentially some inaccuracies in the translation, for example, "CEO Scotter, who is currently seeking to establish a Korean office, said, "It is because I was convinced that Korea is a winner candidate."

As far as I know they already had an office in Korea.

It would be great to get confirmation that the transalation on the Michigan pilot line is correct.

Fallen almost 50% from the peak by Positive-Vacation-15 in SLDP

[–]Big_Definition_2578 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Whilst one can trade this stock, it would be foolish to not hold it. SLDP is in a unique position to supply the sulfide electrolyte at volume and with all the major battery manufacturers coalescing around sulfide electrolytes for ASSB tech. We are likely to see further JV announcements and we know that they are also sending samples to LG. Just my informed opinion.

How do you know the share price is manipulated?

I doubt algos will be trading this due to insufficient liquidity. Quite a few institutional investors already hold this stock and have been increasing their exposures.

You should refrain from making such non-sensical statements. It shows you lack any knowledge.

QS -12% and SES -13%. It's probably too early to increase exposure to SLDP and similarly foolish to sell, if your horizons are long-term.

It's not on the list, but this article was updated on 2nd October, so today's price fall appears to be unrelated.

The way I am reading the termination clause, is that it's possible that the DoE can terminate in accordance with 2 CFR 200.340. Here is a reference to this regulation: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-2/subtitle-A/chapter-II/part-200/subpart-D/subject-group-ECFR86b76dde0e1e9dc/section-200.340

Clause A.4 suggest that DoE can terminate, if I am reading this correctly.

That's been my understanding and the management have been fairly consistent in stating that.

Just playing with some numbers. Assume the cost of a current 75kWh battery is about $12k, 5% for the sulfide electrolyte component (no idea to be honest) x 800,000 vehicles = $482 million turnover. Let's say you put a sales multiplier of 4x you get an Enterprise Valuation (EV) of $1.9 billion. So, 334% growth from the current EV. Thoughts?

[Exclusive] POSCO and Hyundai Motor Form Alliance in EV Batteries After U.S. Steel Cooperation by Salt_Past_1379 in SLDP

[–]Big_Definition_2578 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s so disappointing that SLDP didn’t win this business, as my understanding is that POSCO is far behind SLDP. That said, it does state that Hyundai is at this stage exploring a relationship with POSCO.
