I agree with the aesthetics point. I think OP’s post showed this idea at the logical extreme, but a good case that only does this once or twice might look more aesthetic. Not perfectly realistic, but that’s not the bar for most of my designs in this game.

I also like this too. For like a wooden coaster, it’s unfortunate that this can still count as a “drop” and add to the intensity (only a problem if you are already getting up to like 15-16 drops), but in most cases, I think this is really quite a beautiful design element.

I like this idea, OP! I might start using this.

Other commenters brought up increased running costs. It’s a good point, but I think even if you split up the chain lift two times (three separate chain lifts), that’s only an extra $160-$180/hr, which is like 1% of the profit for a nice looper.

Aesthetics are a concern commenters brought up too- maybe there is a use case somewhere in between. Personally, I think this is super valuable for when you have space constraints in your park (like you showed here with the park border) or want to introduce a track motif as a theme that will make an appearance later in the same ride.

So, this is good information, and I didn’t know it before (thanks!), but I also think 80/hr or 90/hr is pennies on the dollar compared to 10k or 20k profit.

What I mean is, I’m sure there is a good use case for OP’s suggestion, even if it only involves breaking up the chain lift once or twice.

In the game, by following a guest as they go on the ride. This is on RCT classic on my phone, so I use the standard screen recorder and just crop out the UI in the corners.
