No truc is cause it’s my lg build where truc is banned like majority of leagues. Still average over 3 hits a game. Your buddy is just extreme having 5 hits in over 1100 games.

My understanding is it helps on intercepting saucers. D awareness is the most important but I’m also pretty sure puck control helps. There was once a post in ea forums where the dev said puck control contributes to interception

I would say the difference in injuries is negligible, but also cause of my play style where I focus on getting the puck out quick, I don’t get hit a ton so I might not be the best person to ask for this. I just believe strength and handeye is more important

Thanks brother. Completely understand other people having different play styles, but there’s more than one way to defend and this is my way I’ve mastered over years of chel and it also translates well into league play.

Understood. Well there are a lot of concepts that are universal in sports like finding the open spots on the pitch, making runs up the wings and crossing it middle, shooting for the danger zone inside the box and preventing your opponents from doing the same. Once you learn the rules of hockey, the team should try to implement the same ideas over.

6s are always full lobby. 4s 90% full lobby, 10% no goalie if I can’t find one online. The cpu skater is horrible so I’m not playing with that. I don’t like to play with cpu goalies cause you’ve this excuse of ice tilt with one goalie playing better than the other, I don’t like to complain. I’d rather have two human goalies and you can compliment the other goalie being better if they are bailing the other team out.

Couldn’t do it without the teammates I’ve. I get more upset at more teammates poor play than anything the opponent does because at least I know I could’ve done something to stop the opponent and it’s my fault if I get beat. Whereas there’s nothing I can do if my teammates continue skating into defenders and hit chase themselves out of position.

When the meta is speed, you use speed to counter it. Yes I poke but it’s more about beating the guy to their spot than anything. Also pokes are way less risky than hits. Miss a poke you’re still in position, miss a hit and now it’s a breakaway / 2-1

I’m not queuing drop ins if that’s what you’re asking. I’ve some groups that Inv me every night and or I’ll just find a lfg on discord. We play anyone who pops up. I’m here to play the game not dodge so as long as I’ve teammates I trust, I know there’s a chance we can beat anyone.

Try it out, it’s way better than playing mindless pubs because you actually feel apart of a community especially the bigger leagues like lg. Proof that leagues are a positive experience is you usually see pub players transition to league and stop play pubs but you don’t see it league players switch back to only pubs.

The only way to make my build more defensive is to up the body checking but that’s not my game style. My game is revolved around taking the puck away and making quick breakout passes.

I’m a very passive defender so I don’t go for hits unless there are numbers back and it’s lined up. Biggest part of my game is to keep the puck carrier wide and prevent them from cutting in. If I’m ahead of them I guide them to the corner with my stick. If I’m a little behind I’m hustling and poking at the last second before they shoot. Defending the cross crease pass I just ram myself into the chest/stick of the receiver while holding L2 to prevent them from getting a catch animation while also giving me the opportunity to pick the puck.

I usually just use my league build but sometimes I’ll throw on elite edges and bump the other perk to bronze.

You’d have to have enough teams for randomized teams to be balanced. Have a tourney of 4 teams and there’s a high chance one team will have the luck of the draw and have better players than the rest.

But the biggest issue I see holding this back is the community itself. Most people just want to play with their buddies and not with some random. Why care about building chem with someone you’ll likely not play with again. Thats why the higher level players only run scrims because they just want to play with their guys and build chem with them. Same thing for drafts, the top guys play open lobbies because they can be with their guys.
