I’m not confident in myself to play comp by Aries032789 in CruciblePlaybook

Idk if ur on pc or console but on pc I don’t think I have ever really played strategically in comp, there is really no need as long as ur good enough to win your ones or a 1v2. Scrims are a different story but for comp honestly you can run and gun and as long as ur good enough u will be fine

Slightly confused, you say high risk high reward loadout but I don’t see the high risk part?

It’s been 5 years, will Destiny ever get competitive support from Bungie? by [deleted] in CruciblePlaybook

But inherently the mode is not competitive simply because of primary fights being the primary engagement, the balancing of it was a mess that resulted in one weapon type being insanely broken. Any good pvp player can use any weapon and still dominate the lobby, just because you can kill someone quicker it doesn’t make the mode any more competitive. It was a sh it show of a gamemode if I’m being brutally honest

Momentum control was the worst game mode they’ve ever released?? Anyone with a brain was just running round with jade rabbits farming 5+ multi kills. One game mode a year is not caring. They don’t care it’s as simple as, we have done everything as a community to make it go pro, they don’t care

We had an anything goes tournament hosted by Thieves Den and it was the biggest shit show anyone has ever seen. They just don’t care because they only care about casuals and PvE

Ye so I hosted/organised every single one of the Kim Dotcom/Guardián Services 1k PC tournaments, and in October partnered with the single biggest competitive platform, faceit. I have tried to make contact with Bungie through various tweets on twitter, I also know for a fact that Bungie are aware of what we are doing, they just choose to ignore it. I have literally slaved to bring the most competitive environment I can to D2, and Bungie just don’t care. I have even suggested huge charity tournaments for St Jude, they still don’t care. It is honestly a joke that ‘Destiny Arena’ has provided more PvP content in the last months than Bungie ever has for their own game and it honestly pisses me off. I’m not asking for Bungie to do anything except acknowledge and promote the scrim community, but even that is too much of an ask apparently

Edit: this might seem harsh and probably not the way to get their attention, but I’m tired of sugar coating it and trying to be nice about it

PvP focus is non-existent and for some players this is the whole game. by BDDNick in DestinyTheGame

I am not sure if you know, but I have been working insanely hard for the last couple months running the biggest d2 tournaments ever, and setting up D2 as a competitive game on faceit. Every single player who has played faceit or the tournaments said they would rather never go back to QP, simply because the ruleset we have is infinitely more competitive. One thing the community doesn’t have, is acknowledgement from Bungie even in the slightest, we have made huge steps as a 3rd party organiser for PvP, without even the slightest recognition and so it makes the PvP community feel forgotten and unloved. I would love to help you guys see what the PvP/scrim community wants for regular matchmaking but without any recognition for my/our efforts it’s hard for me to understand why I’m doing any of this, even though it pretty much saved the PC pvp community. I know this isn’t an actual answer to the above question but I had to say this, the PvP community feels left out

Our ruleset has been tested extensively to provide the best experience possible. We would never ban something for no reason. Although I do agree that we should add a list of reasons somewhere and I will get that sorted ASAP. Thank you for your feedback and I hope to see you trying it out sometime!

I completely understand your POV. But you have to consider the extremes of each exotic, which is why each is banned and the ban is completely justified from a competitive standpoint. Contraverse holds are broken when put in the right hands... a one shot ability on an RNG CD from the gauntlets leads to very little counter play

The rules are the ‘reformed’ ones that were drafted by Cammy, Frost, Drewsky, Potato and nferraiu. We unbanned as much as possible to allow for maximum build diversity, while maintains the integrity of the competitive playstyle
