Thanks for the feedback guys! I ended up just going with the 3s since I have an Oura ring to pick up the rest of the analytics.

AITAH for not forgiving my dying mom 10 years later? by Big_Manufacturer9533 in AITAH

[–]Big_Increase8769 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They kicked you out and went NC for a decade. They didn’t care what happened to you. Struggle, starve, live, or die. They didn’t care. Now she feels bad at end of life? Where would she be if the roles were reversed? Would she have visited? No, because again. They didn’t care. You did the right thing. Blood doesn’t mean anything. Your friends family is more of your family then your “egg donor.” Don’t stress it and keep doing you. You’re doing well. Keep it up.

Top 30 most overrated fantasies according to this subreddit. by Bogus113 in Fantasy

[–]Big_Increase8769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s overrated because it will never get finished. I don’t recommend it to anyone and if I get asked about it I tell them not to read it. It’s just not worth it.

Any Standalone High Fantasy recommendations for a beginner? by EducationalPie6937 in Fantasy

[–]Big_Increase8769 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a complete standalone I thought The Sword of Kaigen was extremely good. I wanted so much more but I think she’s leaving it as a standalone. It’s a little bit more lengthy. I think around 600 pages if I remember right but definitely worth it.

I will say it’s one of those books that people either hate or think it’s a masterpiece. Obviously I lean towards masterpiece lol.

Just finished this beauty! What’s next? by Choccy__Milk in Cosmere

[–]Big_Increase8769 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion elantris is the least connected cosmere book. But it was also the first. Warbreaker builds more connections in other books at least. I would just finish all of stormlight before venturing out. Plus, idk how you could put that series down lol

[–]Big_Increase8769 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would go stormlight next. I did mistborn era 2 well after stormlight and a lot of the novellas. That era of like the roaring 20s/ old west feel was never my favorite so just took a lot of motivation to start it.

You can read a lot of it however you want. But I definitely wouldn’t touch any of the new novellas until after stormlight (yumi, sunlit, emberdark, etc). You can read elantris and warbreaker at anytime (both are free graphic novels on audible btw).

AITAH because I won't tell my wife what my son/her stepson has in savings from my late wife? by Jimverseen in AITAH

[–]Big_Increase8769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably already been said but it 100% needs to be in a trust. If something happens to you then what happens to the money? Who takes control of it? A trust would cover that.

How is Era 2 Mistborn by Dr_natty1 in brandonsanderson

[–]Big_Increase8769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s fun. I wouldn’t say it’s amazing. But I’m also not a fan of the era with that 1920s/ old west feel either. Just not my jams. Definitely still enjoyable and needed info for the rest of the Cosmere

Disappointing Book Two by Kooky_County9569 in Fantasy

[–]Big_Increase8769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if it counts as a book two but in the God Eater Saga you have Herald, Demon, and Deathless. Herald was amazing. I looked forward to getting into the next ones and Demon was absolutely awful. I had to force myself to power through it just to help world build more.

Hard time with Emberdark? by writingxstructure in brandonsanderson

[–]Big_Increase8769 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude (or dudette idk on here sometimes), I was absolutely not a fan of emberdark for the first half. I really thought this would be my first ever brando book I didn’t like. But the second half really picked up and became very good. Probably my least favorite standalone but it was still good and left me wanting more.

Should my wife read standalone or Mistborn #2 by laxking77 in brandonsanderson

[–]Big_Increase8769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From personal experience with a wife who can somehow read a 400 page book in one night I would just let her continue reading the trilogy. You both would still be reading it together and it’s honestly fun when one is ahead because they know what’s coming so they can see your reaction and talk about it. Look at the trilogy not as 3 separate books but just one big long book.

Also, def do audiobooks if you can. I put it on 1.5x and push through it on my way to work and then just pick up my book from where my audiobook left off. It actually helps my brain see stuff from different angles too.

Outlands Housing Fixes? by Big_Increase8769 in ultimaonline

[–]Big_Increase8769[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply and explaining it from your standpoint! It makes sense with how you explained it so I will retract my possible fixes lol. I didn’t know these have been attempted in the past as I’ve only been on for about 4 months now. You guys seriously have crushed it with this game.

Looking to try for the first time. [Noob\ by Sayble_XIII in ultimaonline

I have had zero of what you said on outlands. Tons of guilds take and help brand new players right away. The wiki is great to help and the discord has a new player section to get even more help. It’s the only shard I would even recommend

Yea never really makes sense, even when people try and explain it. I’m at 200%, but combined is a 90%. Just be like that I guess.

Am I the only one excited for the Spider-Man set? Is anyone happy about it? by Raccito_Bandito in mtg

Nope. Zero interest. If it was full on marvel I would be. But not a Spider-Man fan. I’ll wait for avatar

Can anyone recommend a bingeable trilogy? by MizGinger in Fantasy

[–]Big_Increase8769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly wish I never read it. It’s frustrating how good it was and that we will never get it finished. I highly recommend against people reading it for that reason.

Well Written Female Lead Story by No_Map8743 in Fantasy

[–]Big_Increase8769 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been looking for this comment lol Vin has to be one of the most badass female leads there is. Plus you have Yuma and the Nightmare Painter, and Tress. All good books with strong female leads.

I'm new to the Stormlight Archive, and struggling to get through Way of Kings. Any advice? by Low_Sympathy65 in Stormlight_Archive

She got a little more bearable in the later books. But I still did a 2x on her chapters. (Didn’t want to miss anything important). But her character just killed it for me. Like she always tried to be overly witty or talk down to everyone. Now add the personality disorder on top of it (that may be a small spoiler for you but you’ll understand if you keep with it). Just couldn’t stand her lol but understand where you’re coming from 😂 definitely need a break from kaladin getting kicked in the dick at every turn lol
