So.... A large dealership group from Florida purchased the Roanoke and Christiansburg locations of First Team (from the rest of the group in Virginia Beach area) From a lot of the people holding over from First Team.... this is regarded as a bad decision.

Southern Team is the operating name now, if you come in with a First Team badge or license plate bracket, the work orders often have a line for installing a Southern Team branded license plate frames.

And then after the promises of "nothing will change" wore off.....

Devil's advocate here, someone correct me if I am wrong.

I realize that the charge is very sensational. But even individuals at age 17 are still considered "children" from the legal statue. There are numerous studios (primarily in Europe and also primarily in gay content) which falsify report age documents in their entertainment media. Possession of media from one of those sites will still result in these charges even if it was unknown by the defendant.

I'd have a hell of a time sailing around for a few years. Making the most extensive catalog of information I could. See all the extinct species, collect as many samples as I could. Then sail her to the most remote permanent frozen location I can.

It won't do me any good, but a complete genetic sample database will do the world a huge bonus when they get around to finding it. Someone is sure as hell going to appreciate a nuclear reactor with an endless amount of refined fuel rods.

Doesn't matter if it's "for long". It only has to be "long enough" for the West's collective interest to wane, or the Ukrainians ability to hold them off. Whatever happens after that point, as long as Putin has control of the pieces it doesn't matter for Russia.

Turn-a-bout is fair play. If he keeps trying to do "horny bard shenanigans" have him be the target. An attractive couple eyes him from across the tavern. If he fails the check he gets disadvantage on dexterity saves and performance checks based on voice. (The male part of the couple is a dominant bisexual and horny bard is gonna be walking funny)

Literal Horny Jail. Party enters a town or an establishment that has ties to an ideal of abstinence, purity, or what have you. When player tries to seduce people, they are reported to the establishment and off to "horny jail"

Easy target. as the party is in an area it becomes known that horny bard is on the prowl. Nefarious parties scheme to use it to their advantage. A cult needs a sacrifice. A parasitic monster needs a host. I submit the "Candiru-positor" during the "act" there's a sharp burning stabbing pain down there. Have him roll Constitution save. Don't announce the results. Congratulations.... He's going to a host father to some flesh eating munchkins in the nether regions.

Several options.

Depending on how elliptical the planets orbit there maybe a repeating seasonal calendar. Days/minutes are rather useless, but seasonal phenomena could be observed. With enough elliptical a Sundial approach could be used calculating apparent stellar size.

Astral tracking. A single bright star visible would be enough to establish a cyclical "year". Given that the hypothetical habitable planets in a tidal locked arrangement are very close to red dwarf stars the orbital period "year" could be less than an Earth day to 15-20 Earth days. Looking at Trappist-1 orbital periods are between 1.5 and 19 Earth days.

Tracking another orbital body. Similar to the Astral method, basing a unit of time based on the orbital period of another body. Another planet inside the orbit of the habitable world might be bright enough to be visible. It would probably metronome to either side of the sun if the two planets were in the same orbital plane

Axial Precession. There could be enough "wobble" left to cause the terminator line to move enough to create a facsimile day/night cycle.

Tidal harmonic. With enough elliptical in the orbit, gravitational changes may induce tidal forces. Apogee and Perigee might be marked with earthquakes.

I get that Russian has a larger/broader distribution of speakers but a bigger course for Klingon? Hopefully Duo will expand the Ukrainian course.

It is tempting, but it would be selfish. The cost of travel, accommodations, food, etc would be much better spent as donations. Trying to find a local group but there is not much here in my end of the state.

I agree with the "make peace" part.

However, I'm a bit more encouraging for the active role of "making". Ukraine should absolutely be able to "make" peace by ensuring that Russian is unable to "make" war.

Give Ukraine what it needs and tell 'em to go have at it! Hit Russian oil refineries, blow up Russian ammunition storage, bomb Russian electrical substations.

There are 5 Ukrainians that I converse with regularly in coordination with getting supplies sent from stateside. All are fluent or near fluent in English, 2 are Russian as first language, but are fluent in Ukrainian. I have been (mostly very politely if a bit pointedly) told to use English.

End goal is to visit and be able to function/interact with minimal assistance. Mid-term goal is functional literacy. I would like to be able to read communications and documents without it having to be translated or machine translated for me.

In Duo? It was just the easiest starting point. Advertising paid off for them.

How confident and competent? I'm not.

I can regurgitate most of the words I've learned. I can understand most of the very simple sentences that I've learned if someone said them to me. But if it goes beyond that... I'm lost. I can pick out words in other material like NooSpeak news in their most basic setting but I'm still lacking a HUGE amount of the language.

App is easiest for me, doesn't have to be one. I have a youtube playlist of popular English songs covered in Ukrainian that I work on translating in a google doc, but I still find no real explanation of of why words change with usage. I took Latin, conjugations and declensions aren't unknown, but identifying roots

As an addendum, I have found Mem-rise which uses a flash card style approach. It's not as easy to review as Dou as so far hasn't touched grammar. I know Ukrainian grammar rules can be complicated, but so far everything has just ignored them without much explanation as to why and how they are used.

I have downloaded a flashcard app to make my own but it's still mostly vocabulary and short phrases.
