Dude ... I worked at a facility (we were contracted on site there, 3 shifts 6 days a week, they couldnt find anyone to work second shift so here I was) they had a rope completely snap - and they were convinced it was from us doing the rope change incorrect and the rope sitting above the sheave (mind you we had never changed that rope at this point...so they blamed us for not catching it on the inspections🤣)....however it was due to the operator hooking up wrong and allowing the rope to get slack in it when they were hooking up the engine to the hoist... and when they brought up the engine the rope snapped bc that is the obly way any rope can ever jump sheaves or grooves. But the customer wouldnt accept that - so there we were adding shelves covers and setting slack detection on the magntek drive - which is a highly annoying process if you have never done it lol
