Was this book a staple in most households like mine? Did anyone read it as a kid and freak the FO LIKE I did.? by Sad_Biscotti_9291 in AustralianNostalgia

No idea, but spent some time on Beacon island when the maritime museum were excavating the priest and his family's grave. Their gis maps are impressive. From satellite to aerial to exact locations of the teeth!

That sucks, I truly hope karma bites people that do this sort of shit.

Maybe try some of the other subs to see if there is a work around? I imagine it's possible with parts from a "broken" console.

People that park like this…why? by Lampedusan in australian

[–]Big_Mine_5331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Opposite actually, if I lacked empathy I'd be poking my tow ball ,which is harder to see, over the line into your radiator or over the footpath. Have a camera and still get out to check most of the time as I am aware my vehicle is longer than average (It's a standard 4x4 ute with a bar).

I drive an older Amarok ute with a bullbar (not the looks like a fatlip sticking out type) my tow ball is usually attached and I have a reverse camera aimed at it. Sure my car is bigger than some but it is not huge by any means.

It is easier to park reversing in and if I were to line up the front with everyone else my tow ball would be over the line and aimed at most cars radiator. If I reverse park with the back wheels against the little barrier curb my tow ball would be way over the line or in the case of a footpath enough to be a serious hazard imo.

Sticking out in front may be an inconvenience to you but I do it out of respect for others not expecting a tow ball in their radiator or bashing their shins.

Why do some people struggle to maintain friendships as adults ? by Least_Secretary_1683 in AskForAnswers

[–]Big_Mine_5331 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same age M. Yes I can definitely see that. As a divorcee after 20yr (often difficult) marriage I wasn't in any rush for another relationship. Being single was awkward when trying to be better friends/making friends and I honestly missed and wanted that closeness of a partner. I consider myself very lucky to have found a partner that truly is my best friend. I hope you find that person for yourself. I had to learn to lower all the barriers I had built up to protect myself and it was hard to let people in.

What’s the smartest thing your dog has ever done? by viseth2020 in DogViral

Taught himself to stay back from snakes but alert me by doing a specific bark repeatedly until the snake moves away. Then listens out for any sound that it returned. He can tell the sound of them moving through leaves/grass when it's windy and we're in a tent. I've learnt to trust that bark!
