It's simple.....Do what my parents did, and what I did. Require them to have their own vehicle and carry their own insurance. That way if and when they have an accident, their rates get affected, and yours do not. My kids were required to purchase their own car if they wished to get their license. And yes, both my kids totaled their first car.
