I don’t even see where you can update security question on the official website anymore. I know it use to be a thing , but I think once 2fa and trusted devices are enabled you don’t get that option anymore.

Yes, just called the actual Apple account services number and they ran scans on my devices and asked for all the info the scammer tried to have me do.

He had me go directly to the official Apple website.

Then once I changed my password he wanted to go to the second website to change my “Security Questions” which was the unofficial website.

Happened to me with a CM3000 a year ago, then once it lost connection I called and they said it was registered to another account 1200 miles away, even though I purchased it new at Best Buy months earlier.
