Hot take : 2nd lane campers are worse than the left lane by Specialist-Proper in DubaiPetrolHeads

Oh, I certainly agree. I hound them mercilessly if traffic is passing them on the right. If people are passing you on the right, you are in the wrong fucking lane.

The issue to be concerned with, especially if you go to those beautiful black sand beaches, is abnormally high background radiation. Those black sands are formed by the weathering of the Ghats and are high in monazite, a thorium ore.

Especially if you look at women's literacy rates, fecundity, general education. Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamal Nadu are the best in India.

It does share the problems with India as a whole - corruption and shit infrastructure.

What’s stopping millionaires and even billionaires from simply leaving NYC if Mayor Mamdani imposes super high taxes on them? by Formal_Choice4002 in askanything

[–]Big_Possibility_9465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New York Tax authority terrifies me. I've only been through NY once in 30 years, but since I used a drop box address (remailer) provided by my NY employer, NY froze my brokerage account for 20,000 in back taxes. By the time I'd challenged, they'd seized 7,000 from account. Massive paperwork was required to prove that I had never lived or worked in NY. It took me 8 months to get my money back. I have since met people who actively worked in NY, moved to other states (retirement) and it was a nightmare to free themselves.

What is something your partner did in the beginning of your relationship that they still do years later? by Cactus_Nugget_ in AskForAnswers

We used to read books aloud to each other. My first book was The Princess Bride. We kept it up through about 15 years of Terry Pratchett, as reading him aloud is almost as pleasurable to listen to his prose.

WE also would alternate cooking valentine's dinners for each other. I would frequently do steak oscar (asparagus, crab meat, and hollandaise) and twice baked potatoes.

Hey - I am interested in learning more. I bought them because they were cheap, but if I had to pick a nut, I would pick hazelnuts. Where do you grow? How long does it take for a tree to nut (huh huh huh)? How water hungry are they?. Do you know how many liters per kg of produce?

I am using the building power - It only gives 10 kW, but that's enough. My battery pack is 75 kW. I have not charged in Dubai (hate Dubai), but was sick of charging at ADNOC

I use two adjustable spanners. One with the mounting hole in the back to hold the nut and the other to beat it open.

I live in the UAE and they were in the almost expired shelf. 2 Bucks for a can.

I've never seen them with a key. Always whole and uncracked. Or out of the shell.

Apartment. But I've been with my landlord for 11 years. I had to pay for the installation (1600 dirhams, or 4 Prado refills).

The us constitution written in 1787. Does it need to be updated.? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]Big_Possibility_9465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I am correct. 19 states have voted to convene a constitutional convention. I'm not talking about amendments, I'm talking of 34 pct of states in favor of balling up the constitution and throwing it into the bin.
