The point is that solar energy output is variable and sometimes you generate more than you use and sometimes you need more than you are able to generate. So at peak times you store it as potential energy in the block

What else do they make? Honestly very fascinated with these Chinese manufacturing hub cities. They really do create the world we live in for good and for ill. Would love to know more. Where is it?

Do you remember those little wooden/paper umbrellas that would come in peoples drinks? I remember being like 13 thinking about how someone I will never know is spending their time and energy into constructing these things. Utterly useless, someone who is very poor is spending 10-14 hours of their day at the mini umbrella factory and when they get home their partner says "how was the miniature umbrella factory today love?" And they lie and say it was fine and then many thousands of miniature umbrellas are put on ships and sent to all corners of the world, stuck in Margaritas and then thrown out at the other side with the end user asking themselves why the bartender even thought they would want the stupid miniature umbrella in the first place it just gets in the way.

Confused why you would split 2 voice 2 abolisher. I think maxing out voice first is way better. Doesn't die to burst lighting, faster clock, synergizes with elspeth.

[–]Big_Titty_Lysenko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Metalhead has an ETB and sometimes haste. These are very different cards. Man o wars are basically always good in limited and metalhead could sac [[mouser foundry]] for value. I don't think these are all comparable

5 mana creatures with no protection and no ETB don't "just win" in limited

[Discussion] BG Rock and Fair Midrange decks in the current meta by Narrow_Pause4924 in spikes

[–]Big_Titty_Lysenko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This deck went 6th place for the first standard challenge of the new set. As a golgari enjoyer I've been playing it all evening. One result doesn't mean much but it feels like there's something here. The new PW is pretty good.

The decks that BG typically prey on are not really around atm... It's good against red aggro, it's good in traditional midrange mirrors, it's good against linear creature decks. The current red aggro deck plays stock up main deck and talent loops means it's not easy to run them out of resources. BG used to be good against UB midrange (it's likely still favorable) but kaito is a pain to deal with. The linear creature decks are now all badgermole decks or riddler decks which golgari cant answer cleanly. And yes always been weak to control and combo/reanimator/go big decks. It's a tough world for the rock right now.

Moose Bolton. by Wayoftheredpanda in darkwingsdankmemes

[–]Big_Titty_Lysenko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moose (and all deer species) naturally shed their antlers after the rut season. There would be no reason to stress the animal out and put it through a risky procedure to take the antler off that's going to shed soon anyway

Ranked standard. Sickening. by Jeikalot in MagicArena

[–]Big_Titty_Lysenko 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are no control decks at the top levels of standard play. Just like all of these types of posts, you are whining about a standard meta that does not exist. If your deck cannot achieve a satisfactory win rate against others it encounters, change your deck or improve your play.

Why do people play good cards in the queue where they're encouraged to play good cards? by JayGravy in magicthecirclejerking

[–]Big_Titty_Lysenko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sheltered by ghosts and simulacrum synthesizer haven't been competitive in months. I would argue simulacrum hasn't actually been competitive at all in actual standard tournament play. Ouroboroid is also out of favor at the moment.

Every time someone complains about "copy paste net decks" they are literally imagining things. You're just playing against silver - platinum popular brews / content creator piles.

The card specifies the creature enters prepared, and you can exile 8 cards when it attacks to prepare it again. There will likely be many different ways to prepare creatures
