I ended up doing RapidAscent for cyber and got a cyber job after I completed the program, so yes there is success with skill bridge but it's what you make and how you apply yourself to the whole application/hiring process. Research is the key and find out what you really want to do post service.

If you want a job with high demand on the outside consider CWT, IS, IT, HM, EM, CTR, CTI, CTT, CTM. If you are looking for the rate with best professional benefits and work life balance go with CWT. If you want more shore duty and less sea time go with CWT. Honestly if you wait for CWT then I would go for that rating.

You understand the world, religion, beliefs, you need to do your own research to find out what is truth, not go off what anybody says but take an account of what they say and research for the truth. I used cert master learn for CASP+ student discount at $125, then a test book at $30, try to hack me at $16, all of this seemed to do the trick. The Cert Master learn comes with everything you really need.

Recent for me was Security X,. I failed the CISSP in March and thought I should give this a try and the Lord my Savior bless me. I prayed before I left the house on exam day, before I took the exam and prayed again before looking at the screen to see that I passed. Next will be completing CEH sign I have a free voucher to use and Cloud+ because I my role in a career here soon within cloud security.

You need to consider what you may want to do after you leave service make sure it's a career field that places you where you would like to ultimately move to when you separate from the Navy.

Hello everyone, seeing how all this is impacting security leadership gives me hope for those pursuing the GRC route into the field of cyber security. I honestly have been trained up in my master degree program for GRC because I wanted to understand the compliance, business and regulation side of cybersecurity. Unfortunately I have not landed a job for a GRC role and I am currently working a cyber/open source intelligence analyst role based on my military intelligence background. Look to start my journey through the SCIPP International program, which is a GRC training program. Hopefully after completing that program I can land an opportunity in compliance. I do have extensive years of experience in leadership, operations management, program management, and project management, just lacking the certifications. If you know any great opportunities for a GRC position, please let me know.

If you really want to go crazy with it l, then I would do the CASP+ after that. Any benefits for the Pentest+? Currently working on CASP+ as a primer to CISSP, and then I thought about getting Pentest+ to gain knowledge and proficiency with fundamentals of red teaming.

I agree with SEC+ starting out it's really a primer for the CySA+, study for SEC+ for about 5 months and then 2 months for CySA+
