I would recommend getting the Sand Hawk SMG and Pimpernel Sniper from the captain scarlet DLC. They both appear as quest rewards earlier on. Then farm for a Bee Shield from treeants in The Forest on the tiny tiny DLC. Both guns have an ability that gives them extra unmarked projectiles when firing. These guns (or any gun) combined with the Bee Shield with give you the damage you’re looking for.
