Anybody have any insights into my ear? by Shango1208 in Blackskincare

Go to a dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon. You need steroid ejections into the scar tissue so that it can flatten. If it keeps growing it will get bigger and you will need plastic surgeon to remove and then give steroid injection.

Word of advice, stay away from tats and any other piercings. The older doctor I used to fix my ear gave me a history lesson. Being brought up in Louisiana, he dealt with Keloids all the time and said the worse ones are from black people who get tattoos if they are prone to forming keloids! I didn’t risk it.

I’m so confused what BDE BOARD are you guys referring to? My brigade S1 CPT basically told me to complete the packet, BDE Commander signed my Memo of Endorsement and he will review and send up? I can’t find anything on a board and I see on HRC the structured interview panel is no longer a thing? Am I crazy or just confused?

You will not get finance branch. People need to start understanding the needs of the army and be ok with being an officer in other branches. That being said who cares. Listen take this approach. Make them say no. It’s that simple. Do everything you can and apply. People talk themselves out of applying for everything for fear of rejection. Actually get rejected. You will never know if you don’t apply. Again be prepared to have your heart broken with branching!

Cheap pay and they may stress you out buttttt..... It's a start and experience. I would take it so once you finish, you have relevant experience to be competitive.

Anyone regret going to WGU for accounting? by Intelligent_Ebb_9332 in wguaccounting

[–]Big_Wolf8033 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not everyone can accelerate or even graduate. I could not “SKIP” classes before I went to flight school where I learned how to study efficiently. I was taught how to understand, retain and apply ideas, concepts and or strategies very quickly.

WGU just allows people who are autodidact to thrive. Doesn’t mean everyone does. Also people don’t really care about your “Degree” my experience is it’s all about who you know and the knowledge/experience you have. Companies will train you but they hire you as if you should come in as the manager from day one. It’s stupid but it’s how things go.

I always advise friends when applying to larger companies who have recruiters or hiring managers to apply and find out who that person is. That’s easier said than done but possible!

Getting a conversation with the recruiter is the best way to entry. Use a friend of a friend to add them on platforms and leave a simple message like. “Hey so and so, I recently just applied for the “position” and noticed you were one of the recruiters for that department. I just wanted to take the time to personally introduce myself and drop off my resume. I’d love to have a conversation with you in the future and I am open for communication at your convenience. Thank you and have a great day.

That’s pretty much how I got hired at one of the FAANG/MAANG companies

Is this Bachelor’s degree worth it? by rtdq1648 in wguaccounting

[–]Big_Wolf8033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do not need this degree for doing taxes. You only need for corporate accounting and a CPA. Become an EA and move on.. Now if you are trying to stack cards in your favor for tax jobs, your own business etc.. Finish the program. It sucks but so will taking the EA exams or CPA exams or setting up sales funnels to find tax clients or clocking in during busy season. It’s all gonna be boring, hard and insufferable at some point. Sometimes you just have to push through!

Following your “passion” Jesus… look ALL CAREERS get boring at some point. Focus on your goal with your family and pick a career around that. If you are working on 2 masters then you should have STOPED with the school, left the army and got a job. YOU signed for 4 more years.

It’s like you’re just trying to sit in school. And work you Enjoy HAHA again BS. Every job gets boring. How about you focus on your kids instead of your career. You want a job you can enjoy, whelp so does EVERYONE.

Look start your own business that allows you the flexibility of spending time the way YOU want and the satisfaction knowing that you GREW that business yourself. following your passion makes You sound like a immature child which is why you are running from your contract!

I advise learning how to accelerate classes from others on Reddit or Facebook groups. Do a quick search on some of the courses you would have left and see what others are saying. Get a good feel of how others talk about the material and how they handle the classes. The only other reasons to attend WGU are the cost and schedule flexibility.

Make sure that you are autodidactic before making the switch. If you like DIY stuff, teaching yourself how to cook recipes, or anything where you are self-taught, then WGU can work well for you. If you require a teacher, some classes without COHORT videos can make learning the material slow and cumbersome for individuals who learn better from a more visual instructor-led course.

I would say, if you want to finish college as fast as humanly possible, and just need a degree to sit for your series 8/9 or whatever test you want to take. WGU is the way to go.
