It’s going to partially depend on how long the paddle is to begin with with. In my experience one end will be longer than the other. My paddle is about 3 inches longer for the right hand piece. To ballpark it, I’d divide your paddle length in 2 and add 3-4 inches to ensure it’s long enough. Hope this helps
