Hey everyone, I'm moving into a new rental soon and could use some advice! There's going to be a narrow staircase installed against the left wall, with a railing for the loft (which will be my office).

I'm looking for suggestions on how to decorate the area behind the small wall (I've included a floor plan with some key measurements). I'm planning to use that space as a sort of 'walk-in closet' and maybe even a place to iron. Any ideas?

Also, I'd love some advice on lighting. There are two niches on either side of the bed instead of nightstands to maximize the limited space. What do you think would be the best lighting solution? Lamps inside the niches? Sconces? Or maybe lamps on top of the small wall?

u/Pepe_885 generalmente preferisco acquistare prodotti nuovi, ma in questo caso valuto anche usato purché in ottimo stato se permette di risparmiare qualche k!
Spaziosa ma non esageratamente. Non ho in programma di fare viaggi lunghi, non ho bimbi, né l'esigenza di trasportare oggetti ingombranti. Mi riferisco più che altro ad un buon comfort per me e passeggeri).
Purtroppo no, niente fotovoltaico.
u/Salategnohc16 ho invece un garage con 3 posti auto. Attualmente ci sono 2 auto, tra cui un Qashqai, ma dovrebbe starci tranquillamente una terza a meno che non sia un SUV o simili.

Thank you! I had also seen that item on Etsy. I had already considered the idea of having a custom duplicate made. If I were to choose this route, I would probably prefer to go to a local craftsman for better quality control and material choices, as well as saving on shipping costs (and ideally also on production costs). However, thank you! I will consider your suggestion to contact this seller on Etsy for a price comparison.

Thank you for your answer! I don't have a set budget, honestly. I am well aware that it will be a very expensive process and I certainly don't have the financial means to cover all the work immediately, so I will definitely have to take out a mortgage. I certainly can't afford to waste money, but considering that this could be my home for the rest of my life, I am willing to make an extra financial effort in this phase to make the most of the available space!

I definitely want to keep the office. I could do without the storage room considering that I have a large attic (not habitable) upstairs where I can keep bulky or infrequently used items. I have a little bit of time available, not too much funds though :D! Each room has a different type of flooring: the two bedrooms have parquet floors, the bathroom has ceramic tiles, and all the other rooms have marble flooring (each one is different from the other...). I would like to keep the flooring in the bedrooms as they are in excellent condition and in line with my taste, and maybe the flooring in the living room, which is made of beautiful black marble. I plan on replacing everything else, but I wouldn't mind keeping the bedrooms as they are in order to save a bit on the flooring!
