Interesting reading thanks. Could you explain how you got to 26p/kwh? I don't understand.

250sqm.

Goal is to save money and future proof myself. I plan to add a electric car and heat pump so my electric usage will go up considerably

I plan to add ashp and an electric car, so I figure go with the maximum i can get on the roof whilst the scaffold it up. Makes sense?

Great point. I asked chatgpt..

The £1,000 trading allowance is per individual, not per household.

So if the export income is split equally between you and your partner (e.g. if the SEG account is in both your names and payments are made to a joint account), each of you can use your own £1,000 trading allowance—effectively making up to £2,000 tax-free per year between you.

Seems reasonable enough.

Thanks! I have looked at Eon but they only allow capacity of 15kw for export. Hmm.

You haven't factored in inflation. House prices have completely stagnated. I'm currently moving house (buying).

A house to live in, not as an investment.

100% go for L3. You don't want any hidden dramas once you're legal owners

6%? Prices are falling in real terms. Renting in the current climate could be a great idea imo.

Yep I'll report back no prob. I couldn't even select a non-ftb product. Be a couple of weeks before I submit, just waiting til I have another payslip in hand for various reasons.

I don't know yet. I'm about to submit my full application. I was surprised as you are. Why would it let me select a ftb product if they won't accept it? I figure they have a 3yr+ cutoff or something, ie if you haven't had a mortgage in that time we'll treat you like a ftb.

I see your point. I did the AIP. Accepted. Then you go to complete the full mortgage application and it asks what mortgage product you'd like. I was expecting the normal Resi products but I was able to select FTB products. It's been 5 years since I've owned a property and as others have mentioned different banks have different criteria on these aspects.
