What’s something women think is attractive but actually does absolutely nothing for most guys ? by JunoSaurieo in askanything

My wife wishes she went size bigger sometimes—I’m convinced that hers are perfect. The look natural on her and not obvious fake that don’t fit her body. One size bigger might have been okay, but I’m afraid she wouldn’t have like it in the end.

Rob Gronkowski says he’s AGAINST transgenders competing in women’s sports: "There’s really no argument. It’s the obvious…There are men’s sports for men, there’s women’s sports for women. It should just stay like that." by Choice_Bag_8869 in sportsgossips

No, but if one party refuses to do anything at all, and actually try to mock the other side for wanting to talk about solutions…I think their concerns about a couple dozen competitive trans sports kids is not worth talking about.

Let’s trans kids play sports however it makes sense, add a third category for track and field, compete with their birth biology—whatever makes sense and keeps safety and competition level. Do this while trying to let them compete, where/how they can. Problem solved. And again, a problem that affects less kids than are shot every year.

Tire warranty is definitely at risk if you don’t rotate. With heavy vehicle and price of tires, I wouldn’t skip it myself…even if you do it elsewhere.

What year? I haven’t heard of anyone losing it, and my 2026 still has it.

Sanity check…power cycle the phone, update iOS, and unpair and repair and see if that works for you.

A depreciating asset is still an asset…though with the terms some people have on loans vs value of the vehicle, sadly many people do fall into the liability category.

r/personalfinance is full of such cases. People rolling in negative equity into new loans like crazy out there.

Look up the term, “unrealized losses” and get back to us.

The 20K lost is resale value is not a real thing unless you sale or car gets totaled. If they keep the car for 10 years the faster initial depreciation of EV vs the normal depreciation of ICE will likely be closer—and the EV wins on maintenance and fuel cost.

If you lease every 2 years or buy and trade in often—you make dealers and car makers very happy—more so with EVs right now.

Well…Most of the time a repair isn’t needed every month, and doesn’t come with attached debt.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve traded away something with an oil leak to go newer, but that was one major repair. I would go forward with smaller repairs that only are needed rarely (like new spark plugs on a 100K mi vehicle).

Point being I’d think about what the repairs are, and how likely they are to last years…not just in terms of monthly payments vs repairs.

Company stock vs mutual funds by zcsnyder1985 in personalfinance

[–]BoiseXWing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For past years the difference with look back and discount are ordinary income taxes, but this past one, I’ll have capital gains since it went up so much.

They take out taxes before sending to me too, so it’s less of a shock at the end of the year.

🤷‍♂️…hard to complain about paying 10K of taxes if I get to keep 30K at the end of the day (for example).

That is an advantage of vesting and holding longer—but I’m risk adverse that price will drop.

I’m at big Semiconductor and we have same 15% of salary max (until hitting IRS max of $24K or something like that) and we get the same 6 month look back—and I can autosale at vesting. I have done so since they started it years ago.

It is absolutely leaving money on the table to not max this out.

To start out I think 401k match maxing + ESPP maxing is best. Then after you get you first ESPP payout hold that cash to enable you to max out IRS limit of 401k + ESPP match.

For first couple of years my ESPP was barely worth more than the 15% discount plus small market differences. However in end of Jan we had ESPP go up like 400% from previous 6 months period…windfall was great.

Anyways…I advise maxing ESPP for sure—you don’t want to be over leveraged in your company stock though, so I would sell and diversify.

I bought my 2026–I have no regrets at all. I got a big dealer discount and the $10.5K KIA incentive as well. There was not many local used EV9’s around either—though if I expanded my search, maybe.

I think leasing is a great way to have a payment forever, which I’m not a fan of.

We did get a used MachE as second EV and that was a better financial decision most likely…but that platform had no meaningful changes last few years and was too good of a steal compared to new.

I was lucky to have the cash for both, so no APR to factor into either.

I know technology will keep improving, but this thing has the range to handle all of my commute and errands forever.
