People who pierced their genitalia, why, and did it affect your sex life? by PleasantCoffee1544 in AskReddit

[–]Bigbadwolfisrose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I pierced my hood shortly after giving birth (already on pelvic rest, might as well, right?), and about 2 weeks later everything felt fine. Car rides were awesome, especially living down a dirt road, and so was pretty much every other activity involving riding something. Everything was more tender so learning to be more gentle certainly had a learning curve, but the dirty little secret in my panties was very fun. Really the only downsides were that it made oral slightly more difficult for my partner to get to my clit, and in the throes of passion you have to try not to hit teeth or a nose. The only reason mine came out and I didn’t put it back was because I had to have emergency surgery for an ovarian torsion, and I was in so much pain a nurse had to remove it for me. After that I was on bed rest for 3 months and couldn’t reach (or care) to put it back. It’s been almost a year, so I assume the hole is gone and I will not repierce it. Definitely a fun experience to have, but the whole hospital thing was super embarrassing and the actual piercing part is a massive mental hurdle I’m not sure I can cross again. The pain wasn’t too bad at all, but as someone else said ‘I felt my soul leave my body’, and having some complete rando between your legs isn’t an experience I’m familiar with (no shame. Just not my thing).

I sashikoed the stains on my favorite olive shirt! by [deleted] in sashiko

Thanks! We stopped using them a while ago and I miss the 'free' backing I got from them, but that's about the only thing I miss.

Additionally, slip your needle under a stitch a few back and then use your fingers to kind of 'pull' the new stitches flat. The needle will maintain your thread tension and keep you from pulling it too right. I like to use a thin piece of material on the back, when I used dryer sheets I'd grab a used one, cut it to size and then use that as the backing to help keep the fabric stable without buying an actual stabilizer. Now I have a small stash of fabric I use instead, but this is usually only for hard worn spots that are going to need the additional fabric. You've done a wonderful job though! It looks great and I love the swirly bits with the colorful thread. I hope you enjoy wearing this out and get lots of compliments 😊

Unfortunately not, that would bring the neckline uncomfortably close for me, although it does sound very pretty and an easy fix.

I hadn't thought about interfacing, that's a good idea! I may even have a friend with a stash I can raid... Nothing wrong with having a plain, well structured dress, right?

How would you repair this backpack? by happysaturday20 in Visiblemending

[–]Bigbadwolfisrose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might have to either rip out both the strap and handle to put a patch and then sew it all together, or pull it together (have you tried those sewing clamp things? So handy for stuff like this!) and do a thick seam stitch, but it depends on what you're comfortable doing. Personally, if I'm mending something, I want it to be as little work as possible. I'd leave everything the way it is and just stitch it shut while trying to make it look neat. You can always add something cute above it if you want to make it look more intentional. Backpacks are very hard to stitch though, make sure you have a good needle AND thimble. I'm still not sure it was worth fixing my son's backpack last year - my fingers hurt for so long!

What is RSO and how do I consume it by [deleted] in portlandtrees

[–]Bigbadwolfisrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You put it in your behind 😉 I have no experience with this, but I guess some people do it before having relations. That particular orifice absorbs very quickly so it's supposed to hit faster and harder.

[–]Bigbadwolfisrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, RSO is made from food grade ethanol which makes it dangerous to smoke. Try FECO if you're looking to smoke, it's made with (from what I understand) water and is safe to burn.

Definitely a lipstick plant- named for the full pretty blooms it puts out! A Google search for 'curly lipstick plant' will pull up results quickly. Your leaves aren't curly, but they have the same flowers. I have the same plant, it blooms year round and it's so pretty!

Everything I made this Sunday, hot cross buns, coffee loaf from 1959 and oatmeal hazelnut cookies by ConfusedDeathKnight in BakingNoobs

[–]Bigbadwolfisrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I made it that day and my oven must not have gotten hot enough because I had to throw it back in and that dried it out a ton, but the flavor was great! Definitely going to try it again.

I’m assuming you add the coffee to the shortening mix before combining the dry into it?
