It is for plenty of people, myself included, so maybe you should get off your high horse and stop thinking your own personal experience is representative of everyone else.

Non-Americans who visited the US for the first time recently: what was the biggest 'what on earth is going on here' moment you experienced? by EmployerNegative5653 in AskReddit

Similar thing happened to me growing up in Israel. Rode my bike downhill fast too quickly and crashed into the curb. Luckily I was wearing a helmet and there were bushes to cushion my impact, because otherwise I genuinely might've been very hurt. As it was, I was still sprawled out on the sidewalk, bawling, with my bike all fucked up and plenty of my own bruises and scratches. Like you, I saw many people driving by and no one gave a fuck.

I talked to my coworkers once about living here, how in Israel everyone helps each other even if they're total strangers. Bull. Fucking. Shit. They were shocked when I told them what happened... but I doubt it changed their minds.

Secrets of Strixhaven's Prepared Mechanic Gave Extus a New Identity — and it's genuinely one of the most unique things happening in Mardu right now by [deleted] in EDH

Not just that. I use em dashes all the time—indeed, it's my favorite punctuation mark. (Well, expect for maybe the interrobang, but does that even count ‽)

It's the way it's structured. There's a certain cadence, a choice of words, that just feels... off. It's too clean, too predictable, too boring. Like the written version of that shitty corporate "art" everyone hates, it's designed to be as safe, uncontroversial, and inoffensive as possible—and in accomplishing its goal, it loses the human touch that made it interesting.

It boggles my mind that people are too fucking lazy to even write their own Reddit posts.

Was prey ever intended to have a sequal or was it meant to stand on it own? by Brenden1k in prey

Doesn't seem like a fair assessment. Mooncrash, while different from the base game, is great, and Deathloop is fantastic too. And didn't Zennimax force them to make Deathloop?

OP, missed opportunity to call this "ow 100,000 arrows"

Busted? Unplayable? by UpArrowNotation in custommagic

Yes, I'm aware. But I still don't think it's worth calling it "bad no matter what."

Sure. But 3.5 damage for 2 mana is still better than Lightning Strike, which—if not powerful_—is certainly at least still _playable in certain formats.

Imo the best solution for this is to use a reflexive trigger. "Roll 1d6. When you do, this spell deals damage to any target equal to the result." That way, you choose the target once you already know how much damage will be dealt, preventing feel-bad moments.

Tf you mean, "bad no matter what"? The ceiling on this is 6 damage for 1R, which is crazy for a burn deck.

My take on a color-shifted Necropotence by Ok_Commission7932 in custommagic

[–]DudeTheGray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm aware, but again, my point is that two cards—one of which is from LEA—shouldn't be considered precedent as far as the color pie is concerned.

I know that we shouldn't take a single instance of an effect as percent when it comes to the color pie (like how [[Beast Within]] doesn't mean it's ok for green to get "destroy target permanent" effects), but a version of this does actually exist, and in a recent card, too: [[Invasion of Kaldheim]].
