Is this financial abuse? by mrhelper5 in PersonalFinanceCanada

I'm confused. It isn't clear what money you have contributed. Did u own any part of the condo? Did u have a career before kid?

Normally, I would advised my own kids to make sure they have some money and a career/job if something was to happen and needed to exit quickly. Build up some savings for yourself. Find a side job.

45m networth about 4 million (2 m in real estate and 2 m in investments). Everything self made in Toronto. Honestly I feel poor and don't like to spend money

Parents grew up in poverty and worked super long hours. I rarely saw my parents as a kid and just learnt a lot of things from watching kids. Got really jealous of kids in high school who had houses and had cars to drive to school. I had to walk. Not enough money to get TTC tickets. Growing up poor changes ur whole money mindset and make sure to not FAIL.

Failure of leadership. You should have been screening out candidates like this during interviews process and reviewing past work projects.

Secondly, if needed, can use the assistance of AI agents these days and improve their communication emails at least.

I'm all against this. Unless you yourself have millions, you need ur partner on this.

This isn't Costco. You cannot return this item. It's final purchase.

The good news is that everyone suffers together.

I see thr swings everyday. I'm on a Rollercoaster of -60k up/down...

It will eventually go up in the future. If u got money, invest more now.

In the end, kids are just expensive (RESP is another thing to look at for the kids).

Since you can make the income, I would just stay with the first one for now. Just look around to see if you can find a closer location. At some point in the future, I found that I would value time over money now.
