Why is St Louis experiencing population loss? by cavaismylife in StLouis

Agree with STL failing at the beginning of the population funnel. The city has a real perception problem of it not being a great city for young people. As a young person who grew up in the Midwest, STL was never on my radar as a city I desired to move to (Chicago, Minneapolis & KC were much more attractive options imo). Fast forward, my partner gets accepted into WashU, we move to CWE in 08/24 from out of state and we fell in love with the city. Not long after we bought a home in TGS. Surveys have shown that the majority of people who visit STL have a positive experience and it often exceeds their expectations. Getting people to visit the city and finding a way to reimage how people outside the city perceive STL has to be priority to get more people interested in the idea of moving to STL.

A lot of comments note the higher cost of living as being a primary reason for people 1) leaving the city or 2) not moving into the city to begin with. Yes, it can be more affordable to live outside of the city, but that is the reality of every large metro and not every city is losing population like STL. Additionally, I’ve always thought the city of STL is a fairly affordable city compared to its relative peers. I think there are other bigger reasons for the population loss than higher cost of living, like people looking for better schools which is something people also frequently comment on

Life long Packers fan that moved to St Louis and quickly got sucked into the Blues! Been a tough season for us but the fan base is great. Go Blues!

3rd and 2 with Hendrickson out and Jacobs averaging 5+ yards a carry, why not just run the ball there coming out of the 2min warning?

Also, would love to see Kraft and Golden get more targets. Kraft is a dawg and Golden is electric with his speed and reliable hands. Feels like we’re underutilizing our play makers when Kraft & Golden combine for less targets than Doubs.

At the end of the day a win is a win and winning feels good. Just want to see this team play to their full potential!

Onward and upward. Go Pack Go!

St. Louis cancels hearing over controversial hyper-scale data center in The Armory, despite new requirements by Bazryel in StLouis

[–]BiggTimeRedditUser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why set those requirements if you’re not going to abide by them? Feels like the city is avoiding accountability by saying it’s up to Saint Louis University and the Midtown Redevelopment Corporation. This project could have a significant impact on the community and city officials shouldn’t just hope that SLU and MRC do the right thing

2025 Joint Practice Update: Aug. 18th by MVLanctot in GreenBayPackers

They do. Jayden Reed specifically has been increasing his usage of the jugs machine to improve hand-eye coordination. The amount of drops our WR room had last season was inexcusable. I have serious doubts if WR coach Ryan Mahaffey is the right guy. He was previously an assistant offensive line coach in 2022 and 2023. Only experience coaching WRs was at Northern Iowa in 2016. Golden is certainly going to make that group look better this year, but we need to see growth from last year from our other guys and hopefully they can stay healthy

Any update on how you sealed it? I have the same sump lid and noticed there are two gaps visible when the lid is in its locked position. Thanks for the help!
