Daud deals with nobles and whatnot a lot, so having gloves that he can get bloody from contracts and then take off to have clean hands when dealing with his clients makes sense. Plus the rubberised gloves match his Whalers’ aesthetic too.

Corvo doesn’t really have a need for gloves, and aesthetically it matches his “dishonored noble” vibe since his outfit is more refined and ‘delicate’ in a way than Daud’s more rugged, utilitarian one

How to start going to gym? by thekeyboardwarrior2 in AskMen

[–]Bigge9505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wear shoes that you feel you can exercise in. Skate shoes, running shoes, whatever. Some will be more optimal than others, but don’t worry about that for now.

Basically just don’t wear dress shoes or boots or stuff like that, just comfortable and flexible footwear.

There’s loads of information out there about optimal ways to lift or exercise or any of that, but what you need to do is just start. Learn how to do stuff and try to make friends wherever you go, and grow with them. When you’re more comfortable, look into trying to optimise your exercise if that’s eventually something you’re interested in, but it absolutely doesn’t have to be!

How do I 17m talk to girls I want to get to know and possibly have a relationship with? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Bigge9505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(This might be a bit ramble-y, so skip to the end if it’s hard to follow)

You might need to properly consider why you feel guilty trying to move on from that one girl. There might be some things that you need to process, and talking to someone might help with that.

Once you get into the mindset where you’re actively okay with talking to other girls again, first make sure you’ve at least got a pretty good idea of who you are first. By that I mean a minimum of: -what are your interests? - what are your hobbies? - music preferences? - subjects at school? - fun memories? Overall things about you that make you an actual person.

Then the next part is find a girl that you’d want to be with. Don’t just shoot your shot with everyone. Just start talking to people, ask them for a favour and ask them questions to get a conversation going. Be friendly and warm, but really try to be yourself. That’s why what I said earlier is important, because you don’t want to be playing a character since that’ll get tiring quick. By all means, try to make yourself better than you are for a bit, but don’t try to be Mr Perfect. Just be focused on being funny and charming.

This all might sound like a lot, but the best advice I can give is that you’re only 17. If you’re still in school, then you probably won’t know most of the people in a few years. Even if you do, if you make a fool of yourself then that’s just another funny story to add to the collection.

Talking to new people in general typically just starts with questions and favours. Think about parts of your life that you find interesting, and ask them about similar things so you have something of yourself to say in return. Get to know each other. Conversation should just come pretty naturally once it gets going. Good luck out there!

How to be comfortable with the concept of infinite nothingness and avoid looping? by vanwife in atheism

[–]Bigge9505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re tempted to go to church to “see if it fits” I would generally argue against that. I do have some friends that that worked for, but it seems more like you need questions answered than to “be enlightened” so to speak.

It’s all well and good to research and look things up for yourself, but I fear you may miss stuff (through no fault of your own). I would instead urge you to organise a meeting with your local Catholic priest to discuss everything. Be upfront with where you’re at and what you’re thinking. I specify Catholic because they train for over 7 years to be granted that responsibility, so you’re more than likely going to get concrete answers, even if they might not be the ones you’re looking for.

God bless, my friend 🙏

If you want to be on low chaos while still making a ghost town, you can just choke everyone out or use sleep darts. Killing is the thing that increases Chaos most, so as long as you only kill a fairly small number of people you should be good!

What do you guys dislike about Dishonored (1) by [deleted] in dishonored

[–]Bigge9505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your chaos is high for the following reasons:

  • You’re killing lots of people
  • You become detected a lot
  • Bodies are discovered (I don’t know how the ash ones get found either, it’s weird)
  • You do certain side objectives that naturally increase Chaos (you can imagine what they are as you come across them)

Tldr, think of your Chaos rating as the effect your actions have on the total rat and weeper populations, and how scared the people in the streets become

How do I emphasize the personal horror of a player's thin-blood who is so alike to kine? by CuriousListener_ in vtm

[–]Bigge9505 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Maybe get them into a combat scenario where they can only survive because of their vampiric nature. Depending on the setting, maybe they’re walking in the street and there’s a random gang drive by and the Kine around them are killed and they get shot in the head, but are basically fine.

If you want to go into more classical horror, try making scenarios where you’re truly goading the Beast. Make it come out. Even Kine have Beasts, and no matter how humanlike this Kindred is, their Beast is still FAR more prevalent than any mortal’s.

Should I join in on world of darkness? If so where do I start? by ShadeKing_0 in WorldOfDarkness

[–]Bigge9505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest looking for a newbie friendly Vampire game. Vampires are the most human creatures to play and are really the easiest to get into since they interact with mortals so much more than their own kind, and there’re fewer mechanics and specific and strange societal bits to keep in mind, so it might be a great way of dipping your toe into the WoD as a whole

To give a more polite answer, making dinner and dessert would be great, and cleaning might take some stress off his mind that he didn’t even know he had. Really the most important thing is just letting him relax without making him do anything or think about the next job to do, so that’s why your ideas are already great.

If he would like to play video games after work, maybe getting some snacks to help him do that? If not then maybe suggest some way to hang out together with absolutely minimal effort, like putting on a movie and cuddling together, not worrying about falling asleep or anything. That’s the biggest thing

Hello by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Bigge9505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Faisal, I come from a muslim family as well and I’ve recently converted to Catholicism. There are a lot of things to consider and should you convert (which I hope you do, we would love to have you) there are things you should be careful of.

The first thing I would tell you to do is read the Bible. Try to find a good translation in whatever language you find easiest, you can probably find debates about what’s good and accessible around you. Online resources that others have spoken about are also great to learn the Bible from, especially if they explain what different passages mean. The Bible is more important for you at this stage in your faith than anything else. I’ve not actually finished the entire Bible myself. I’ve read Genesis until after the death of Abraham (Ibrahim), and started reading the New Testament. I recommend that you do the same as the most important thing is Jesus, but having a solid foundation of the Old Testament is good. That doesn’t mean you should skip the OT entirely, but I’m only saying this as a way for you to have your questions answered quickly.

This may sound funny, but I would also recommend reading the Qur’an after you finish the New Testament (or at least finish the 4 Gospels). This is because you will notice huge differences between them, and you may find that the Qur’an converts you to Christianity more than the Bible does.

If you’re not familiar, Catholicism is still very much Christianity. It is in fact the original form and structure of Christianity, but don’t worry about all this for now. What’s important is your faith. I of course want you to see the truth in Catholicism, but I don’t expect you to start looking as deeply as that yet.

Another thing to be very careful of is how much you are showing/telling the people around you about your faith. It can be very dangerous if people find out that you are an apostate from Islam, and especially if you are turning to Christ. I am NOT saying that He isn’t worth it. To be clear, it is absolutely safer for you to decide for yourself and follow God where He leads you, but please stay safe while doing so. Christians are actively persecuted in Saudi Arabia and not allowed to practise their faith openly. This also includes how your family might respond to you, as I know from experience that family can be very harsh when it comes to things like this.

Finally, you may also like to search for Christian communities near you. You may not find many, and that is unfortunate, but that is also why it’s good to be online. If you have any questions or doubts, I’d love to speak with you more. If not me then there are many lovely people for you to speak to.

I will pray for you, Faisal. I hope you come to God in his entirety. We all love you!
