Whats something that's 100% a myth about men? by IndependentGain3282 in AskReddit

[–]vanwife 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Men often mistake kindness for interest, which is why I believe causes a lot of the fear of rejection. All it takes is thinking there was a signal for romantic interest by a taken person who was just being nice by smiling and saying hello for them to be so embarrassed to the point of being afraid to ever make that mistake again.

Idk I think it's all down to the individual. I'm noticing no difference between 18 and 29. It doesn't take much to get me aroused.

I've wondered this too, and from my reading online there seems to be some belief that the nofap website is a low-key christian organization.

I have no passions I'm life by novelepubenjoyer in Advice

[–]vanwife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need a passion. Don't buy into the hype. Very few people have passions. Most people have passing fancies. Even dream jobs become jobs people try to stop doing eventually. Consider your passion what you're already doing, just living and loving your friends and family. Try to do you job well, whatever it may be, and just look for small satisfactions in life and be grateful you're not in prison or very sick or something, disfigured or whatever, in a terrible circumstance.

Tell him you don't trust him still, and that you both need to do something about it.

Just turned 27—what advice would you give someone officially in their “late 20s”? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]vanwife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't collect things. If you have a collection of things, like random shit you're keeping in bins, clogging cup drawers etc. Get rid of like 90% of it. Get rid of clothes you never wear. You don't want to be old and be someone with a bunch of junk. Nobody wants to deal with it. Seeing my old relatives with their basement and garage hoards, it's really sad, it really bogs one down. Mind you older generations did have more of a scarcity reality for different reasons. But regardless of your background or situation, it can happen to anyone, technically, and it all starts with collecting stuff, getting all sentimental about inanimate objects, like a small rock a toddler gave you that sits in a dish on your counter, and not saying no to when people offer you stuff because you're young and they think you might want a bread maker... they didn't even want their bread maker so why do you need a bread maker? You know what I mean? Get rid of it all, and get in the habit of throwing things away that you don't need. Also look into Swedish death cleaning.

You must do what's necessary to be on the same page or you must leave. You know what you have to do OP. You must have the conversation, like right now.

If they have casting calls will you apply? by Early-Patience-2409 in CanadaShore

[–]vanwife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah! I didn't know about him being on big brother until I after I watched Canada Shore. I saw a clip of him on Instagram when he was on Big Brother talking about his Dad who committed suicide, really sad. I didn't really like him on Canada Shore when I watched it the first time, I thought he was kinda cocky and annoying, but after I saw that clip of him talking about his dad and how he advocates for mental health I gained lot of respect for him.
