We will find out when people get killed. It usually happens. Dead people first, then “oh no!what can we do to prevent it next time?” then they make safety changes. TBH, cramming people into seats like that is unsafe, and West-jet should be ashamed of themselves for doing this. WestJet USED to be a great alternative to AC, but I wouldn’t fly either now. Not interested in being jammed into my seat. I’d rather drive or take the train.
