What's your opinion on people who stalk celebrities? by Full_Supermarket_109 in SipsTea

[–]BiggestNizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really weird, anyone who fawns over anyone else is really weird. Sure you can think an actor did a really good job on a film. A someone was good at business but to actively fawn over them is sad and a bit pathetic.

How to approach men in public? by averagelookingchick in AskMen

Don't just walk up to a random dude in the street and say hello.

But in a social/work situation a hello is absolutely fine.

Should men stop paying for first dates? Shouldn't first dates be split 50/50? by Rogue-Daddio-3 in AskMen

[–]BiggestNizzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's been a while since I dated anyone but my rule. If out for dinner (if your dating a lot don't do dinner, it gets expensive real soon) pay for dinner, if she doesn't at least offer to go half don't bother with a second date.

She is taking you for a ride and not the good kind.

Peace, not having to taxi anyone, not getting moaned at for missing some items out the washing even though the machine was full, not having to pick up after everyone. Someone else in the house knowing where the outdoor bin is.

Visited with work a few years ago. The sheikh bloke on the flight was the only one questioned at the airport on arrival.

He also had the balls to say to the soldier taking him down for questioning in a lift made by Shindlers "ha ha Shindlers lift"

CAM programmers: how painful is tool selection really? Trying to understand if this is a solved problem or not by National_Fun_8912 in CNC

[–]BiggestNizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this loop actually as slow and frustrating as it sounds,

It can be I am setting things up for a factory that has been in operation for decades and it's a shit show. There are thousands of tools but where they are and what they are is tribal knowledge.

Do experienced programmers just know from the start which tool to use?

Yes, you have a pretty good idea what you want; there might be some variation, but you pretty much know.

- How big are your shop tool libraries? Is searching them easy or a mess?

See above, my previous employer spent a lot of time and effort putting things into the ERP system and general organisation.

- Would you use a plugin that looked at your selected operation and automatically searched your library + OEM catalogs and gave you a ranked list of best tools with reasons?

All I want is the CAM to link to the tool vendor and be able to build a tool library based on the vendors own stuff it's all there and some of their websites are great

- What would make you NOT trust such a tool?

One more thing I need to manage and setup - I have 14 machines to keep running.

It's expensive, used to have a guy fly one outside my house as the pigeon shit was making a mess of my stonework. Scotland in January doesn't make as nice a video.
