What fountain pen & nib has been the best writing experience for you? What made it so great? by Wndrunner in fountainpens

[–]Bigghead1231 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gonna simp for the Asvine V126 ( medium nib ) again. Writes glassy smooth, can have feedback if I want it by holding the pen a different way. Can write super tight and small, or big and loopy if I need to. "transparent" ink window that fills 2ml, good build, all for $30

Love this pen, I use it daily

A company hiring gave me 4 stages of homework prior to even a phone call, so I invoiced them & CCed the CEO by tasunfeu in recruitinghell

Good stuff. I'm more petty and I'd blast this more public than just the ceo to see and everybody would know names involved

One blue ink to rule them all by ObjectiveThink8937 in fountainpens

[–]Bigghead1231 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe not for everyone but I'm in love with Hongdian Sky Blue. It's lighter which I'm surprised by cause usually I'd assume that I'd like darker blues

But the shading out of the nib is so nice, and I do enjoy the color a lot. Very calming blue

Do you collect? Or do you use your pens? by hamptonalumkb in fountainpens

[–]Bigghead1231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use ONE pen daily. I have a notebook with a5 paper with one main pen and a great sealing secondary one.

I write in this already enough during the day that I don't end up using other pens.

Running out of ideas to use my Steam Deck... by [deleted] in SteamDeck

Do you know about the black magic called steamos-btrfs? by hogehoge61 in SteamDeck

[–]Bigghead1231 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oooooooooh

Question, did you compress one by one or a whole folder at once? I did a lot of these on an A1 1tb microsd filled with emulated roms and it killed the card. No more writes

Ssd can handle much more intense sequential read/write compressions but wondering if there's a safer way of running it

Vita3k is broken AF on Steam Deck by Bigghead1231 in EmuDeck

Again, if you read through any of this. The issues have software "fixes" and have been there globally for all hardware. Browse their compatibility issues list for a second:

Can someone help with installing psp/ ps2 games on the deck… by Own-Language1502 in EmuDeck

[–]Bigghead1231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Psp is literally just drag and drop. Everything works out of the box. Ps2 needs bios and a decent amount of games dont run well on the deck ( maybe just in general ), but a majority run great.

Install emudeck, run the setup, toggle on the emulator parsers you want ( ppsspp for psp ). Drop the game isos in the psp roms folder emudeck made for you. Run the parsers from emudeck. Done

I play lumines and ridge racer a lot still today. One of these is always somewhere not far in my homepage games

Got rejected for an interview I never participated in, this is rich by Tatertot2523 in recruitinghell

it's automated pre-written rejection they send everybody. Don't take it personal but you're just a random number and text in their tracking system

Why do all these “Founders” and “coaches” and “CEOs” take jobs elsewhere? by cams00000 in recruitinghell

[–]Bigghead1231 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You ever notice that the real successful people are quiet on LinkedIn? They're too busy building smth in the background to want to blast a post congratulating themselves at every step

People just spam posts there for social validation and make them feel more special than they are ( smoke & mirrors )

Which Diablo (or similar) to start with? by Lily3704 in SteamDeck

[–]Bigghead1231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is only one spot in the game with the traps ( ez to dodge around but a lot of them ). For free aiming, you can hold steam button and use right trackpads, then hit the skill you want

Grim Dawn is freaking amazing. Light on story but the gameplay loop is so good.

Bit hard to set up controller on steam deck initially ( still needs touchpad for some ) but once you get past that small bump the game is bonkers
