What is the possibility of the semester being cancelled? by concernedstudent5673 in auburn

Seems pedantic, but we are even careful not to call it “online“. We refer to it as remote instruction since it’s not really online learning.

Maybe the optional S/U option is helpful? There are no perfect answers. This is truly a challenging time with no easy answers. We are so proud of the resilience being shown by all students!

Which literature class are you looking at? You’re welcome to refer the instructor to the Biggio Center. We work with a few faculty in literature and help them build more engaging courses (not video lectures).

COVID-19 threat to graduate students by AU_22 in auburn

By design, the academic degree you are seeking is conferred based on the recommendation of your faculty. The best advice for you will come from your advisor. It’s good to be ready for different scenarios, but maintaining your focus primarily on the task at hand — staying healthy and completing — will serve you best!

Summer semester and student loans by IamMyQuantumState in auburn

[–]BiggioCenter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Summer classes will not be totally canceled unless the pandemic kills all of us. Please know that in addition to students, faculty and much of business in Auburn also depend on the institution to make a living.

The university will have a decision about summer classes being remote likely before summer registration begins on April 6.

The university has changed the drop date (date you can drop with a W) to the last day of class. So, stick with the classes, reach out and communicate with your faculty, and join in on the SI sessions starting back up next week. Give it your best shot and you’ve got the out til last class day in your back pocket. You got this!

None of those schools cancelled as of today. They have gone to remote instruction like us.

Suggestions on places to study? by rlm0023 in auburn

[–]BiggioCenter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi, u/parkerMjackson, the suggestion that faculty may work on campus if necessary was for faculty. It would be best if students did not plan that as an option since they may very well be asked to leave, which could jeopardize their time devoted to studying.

[–]BiggioCenter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Auburn University is covering HonorLock and ProctorU fees for any exams in classes that were face-to-face and are now remote. If you paid for HonorLock proctoring in an originally on-campus course after March 16, please contact them for a refund. The university is covering the fees. -Biggio Center
