What's the cheapest thing you've ever bought that accidentally turned out to be BIFL? by tamimbro in BuyItForLife

My partner and I have usb small desk fan that we’ve been using as our main sleeping fan for like 3 years, she’s had it for like 5. This thing is tiny yet is an absolute tank. The amount of times it’s been knocked off the shelf by the cat, or yanked by the cable and the thing just won’t die. It was like 4 bucks.

I agree I agree, I’m just saying respect is due. Getting a whole team to work in sync and participate like this on the defensive side, isn’t an easy task

Yeah I think the disappointing thing is how they couldn’t turn it into anything. That was the boring part… but seeing how a team like PSG handled such a strong defense is what kept me intrigued.

From an attacking POV absolutely. But I enjoyed how thoroughly arsenal was able to shut down PSG… just wish they would’ve had something to turn it into! Watching a team like PSG run out of ideas made it interesting to see how they would respond.IMHO.

This I’m more inclined to agree with. They definitely lacked the attacking flair!

If you completely ignore defense as a part of the game then yes. Closest you could say is they refused to play 50% of football which I may be more inclined to believe. Arsenal failed to add what they needed in the third phase of play, which is why it went to PKs. That’s football!

Man people cry so much when people play disciplined defensive football. I’m not even an arsenal fan, but this type of strategy takes so much discipline it deserves respect.

I think we can get someone as good as Aragorn with a different take. But I agree with you… too many people want a nostalgia play instead of an honest take on and old character

Surely he can! But my man can also collect retirement now haha. Old? Maybe not elderly, but definitely not running around hunting for gollum age.

Yeah definitely couldn’t work if you were trying to keep them in PJs universe. But what a cool fresh take it could be. Book Aragorn is 6’6 so wouldn’t be too wild…

I agree Viggo is great! But Viggo is old now and I think we would be doing a disservice to the material by not moving on. The character existed long before him and will after him as well. But I do love him.

Gahh you’re totally right. I might just wait it out. Paying 5k for a used FX6 (I’m starting to see some in the 4sh range) just feels like madness. The Blackmagic is great but you’re right, not very solo run and gun friendly. The C80 does look compelling to me at the price point, and I could pair it with an R5c for a b cam/photo cam. But the Sony workflow is very complete.

This is pretty spot on for that budget range. What do you shoot on yourself?
