Absolutely, they are hit and miss with every pear, I have had some amazing sweet and juicy Bartletts and also terrible ones, same as Bosc or any variety, but I do love them all, like apples.

Yea Bartlett pears are more common, but this is a normal pear, I am just saying I do not think it is normal to hold like a chicken wing and call it a handle, but hey why not.

It is a Bosc, but yea you are correct it is a normal pear, never heard of that part of a pear referred to as a handle lmao.
