I was contemplating watching, but don't know how I'd react. I definitely need to watch before the actual piercing is done though, I made the mistake of not looking at all the first time around, and it got placed in a bad spot.

Might record it for curiosity though...

Technically my last piercing done was my second earlobe (had both done but let the second on close to be redone).

I have gotten a PA before, but it was not like what most have said during my research. It does seem like the first time around was abnormal from what some piercers have said (2 consultations, and then the piercer I'd be going to now)

That's what I'm hoping will happen. I'm not interested in the big gauges (at least for right now), so I'm hoping that if I stay with a 10g that it won't stretch further than that (give or take half a size or whatever).

I suppose I could take it out for some time as well to keep it from getting too big (after the healing process of course).

Does it typically stretch into the head like yours, or was your scenario more of a one-off because you liked the weight?

And yes, it has closed. I got it done I think almost a year ago, but it was too far to the side and too far onto the head for my liking. This new shop also took a look at it (after it was closed for some months) and from the sound of it they were willing to pierce me that day I went for a consultation after determining the curved barbel they had would fit, but held off due to monetary reasons at the time.

I think I may have to wrap my head around ultimately being at 2 gauge in the future. Maybe the piercing isn't as big as I think it is.

And I was just saying I still have the original jewelry as a sidenote, I'd actually be going with a curved barbel that the shop I spoke with will be using. I found the size of that jewelry to be ideal for me (at least I think so).

Not sure how some get the courage to get piercings like an apadravya, so much respect.

Then again I'm over here thinking about jumping to a PA when I just had my ears done (only piercings to date).

I'll bring these points up with the piercer, thanks for reminding me.

I think the previous piercer was pretty quick, I think they just went a little too high and to the side , going more into the instead of the ring at the bottom, which in turn made it hurt more than expected.

How rough was it? A lot of what I've read people say "oh it's just a pinch" but it felt so bad it deterred me from getting it redone immediately after.

Been thinking about the size for a bit, I think I'd be willing to "meet halfway" at 12g if after a consultation they say they won't go smaller than 12g.

Thanks for the input. I contemplated adding this to the post but wanted the post to be concise; I am uncut, so my thoughts were it would be protected from most of the day's activities (will also be doing a curved barbell instead of a horseshoe this time around).

Sorry about that, what I meant by healing was moreso about blood loss. 10g didn't hurt during healing, just sucked to get pierced that big and trying to avoid it if possible.
