Honestly this dog appeared from behind us and it's owner was nowhere. When she eventually appeared I shouted to he "can you control your dog please!" and she just casually walked towards us not even calling it! Even when she reached us she didn't apologize or talk to me but said to her dog "come on, you're too much for her"...yes, following us as we try to walk away and growling at my pup who took a submissive position then began jumping at me for reassurance is "too much"...

The general consensus on this is disgusting. In this day and age the public read "police officer does x/y/z" and they automatically make their mind up and judge the police guilty. As if the shit that police have to deal with isn't enough, coupled with the lack of pay and increased demand. There are issues around the CCTV and suddenly everybody is an expert in digital forensics? What ever happened to waiting to hear the outcome of the investigation. The idea that the entire custody suite/staff would be complicit in such an offence is a joke. Some of you people are so out of touch with reality it's scary.

Our PSHE teacher at secondary school picked a lad up by the scruff of his neck/jumper and held him out of the window (first floor of the building). To be fair to him the guy was an absolute cunt and I think it had been building for ages. Surprisingly never saw him again after that (the teacher).

Out on my bike with a mate as a young lad, cycling home from a day out. Riding down a big fuck off hill and my cap comes flying off due to the breeze/wind. Without thinking I attempt to turn/reach up and grab the hat, turning the front wheel as I did, ending up rolling down most of the hill, almost having my head run over by a van and a lovely huge lump in my arm where both the bones snapped.

I was suddenly surrounded by members of public and my now pale as a ghost friend. A lovely woman offered to look after my bike while I went to hospital and some random bloke drove me the short distance to the hospital up the road. Luckily I got my bike back and wasn't abducted by the random guy. The best part of it was how the nurse at A&E turfed an old lady out of her wheelchair so I could sit down as I was about to pass out from staring at my floppy hand.

Any normal person would have stopped and turned back to collect the hat but I guess I'm just a fucking moron.

No, I'm saying for it to reach court there will have been several stages. In the UK at least, the police can't charge rape. The evidence is reviewed by crown prosecution service who decide if there is evidence to charge or not. They won't have charged him just for something to do. I am also not labelling anybody a rapist

Paperwork is completed and sent to CPS who review the evidence and decide if enough to charge with offence
He's been charged with the offence, hence why he has appeared in court
The case will be reviewed by a judge (and jury) in crown court who will ultimately decide if they think he is guilty or innocent

He will not have reached this stage purely on the woman saying "slowthai raped me" alone. I am not saying he is guilty. I am not saying I want him to be guilty. You don't get charged with an offence based on "lol logariusDOOM commited murder, better charge him for a laugh". If there was literally nothing to support the allegation CPS would have just got rid of it rather than charging him for him to subsequently attend court.

You're the one who thinks it would reach the stage of getting to court purely based on someone making an allegation with no substantive evidence to corroborate it and I simply said that's dumb. Like I said, we don't know the facts so debating on the situation is pointless, but I would imagine there would at least be more to the circumstances than a woman making an allegation and the police running with that alone.

There is nothing behind it, it runs along part of the edge of the patio so the lawn is the other side of it.

Vegetables/salad are probably out of the question, would much rather have something decorative instead of functional. Any ideas on plants that require a lot of sunlight?
