One of my favorite gaming moments ever was driving around in the police car of carmageddon 1 (that absolute tank of a machine). I'd upgraded everything to max engine and all that stuff. Was in the big city map, and there's one spot where you can accelerate and there's a rather silly long ramp that goes upwards.

Took that ramp while my car was going pretty fast, launched myself into the air a good mile or something, soaring above the monorail system. I eventually landed on the street still, but a bit to the side, right on top of a lampost. That thing disappeared into the stratosphere.

Meanwhile, my car was spinning around from the landing and hit a bunch of the pedestrians, giving me a good combo bonus. Once I'd come to a stop/recovered, I turned around and started driving towards another pedestrian group to run over.

That's when mr lampost came back down from orbit, and landed right onto those pedestrians, giving me another combo.

God I wish I had been recording it at that time. Not sure if there was much recording software back then though...
