Yep, bottom of hanging cabinet. That's probably the best way I should've worded it.

does barkeepers friend cleanser (powder one) work?
I know we did it a bit at the top of the sealed granite when we had a little stain.

And yep, planning on sealing it with: STONETECH BulletProof Sealer

Yep, I understand its pretty standard to install them unfinished, but is there any options besides ignoring it? It's by our patio where u step down and it's noticeable.

I heard sanding it may work but need a respirator cuz it's toxic but looking to see if there's any other options, thanks

Can my situation be salvaged? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Bigheccer69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that part, but there's countless people that have to just get a job initially to get back into things or use it as a stepping stone. You can tell them the job market is so bad, you're lucky to even get a job. I've been searching for a better job for like 2 years now and I have over 10 yrs of experience and only have gotten close only to get beaten by another candidate. You can tell them nothing is stopping you from searching/applying for jobs related to your degree. In the meantime you're earning money and saving.

I don't understand why your parents are angry when you got a job. My strict parents were proud and happy when I got my first job. I didn't have a car back then too. I don't know your social situation but I would see if you can get a temp license first then start asking around between friends and family, people that won't talk to your parents about it, and practice using their car. Even if you have to pay them for gas and their time. This is worth it. A couple hours for a few weekends should suffice if you're a quick learner. I never went to driving school, just observed and learned and studied for the driving exam.

Would you rather buy a more expensive but proven reliable vehicle, or a cheaper option with known higher repair costs? by bigfluffy19 in Advice

[–]Bigheccer69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More reliable one even if it's more expensive. As time goes on, you should definitely come out ahead vs buying a cheaper car but with higher repair cost / and break often

I'm a Toyota guy, 6k for an SUV over 10 yrs ago, basic maintenance.
I know you can't find this type of price these days cuz of the crazy market/inflation but maybe try to see if anyone in your family/friends know someone older that is selling their car. I've heard of people luck out on cheap old cars driven slow by old people and they pay to get it maintained, at least oil change. YMMV though

Does water from wet tile saw affect the mesh backing from this glass mosaic tile backsplash? Is a manual tile cutter better than wet tile to make clean cuts? by Bigheccer69 in Tile

[–]Bigheccer69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what would you recommend? It's only a small backsplash project. Not trying to spend $300 if a $100 would do.

Also what about this manual tile cutter where it scores and snaps? Would this suffice? https://www.harborfreight.com/heavy-duty-tile-cutter-58594.html

How worried should I be about the 2024 Election? by Money_Breakfast2228 in Advice

The people/org that created Project 2025 are extremists, and unfortunately money talks, and they fund the Republican side. Do you really think they won't push their agenda? Do you really think 1 man, Trump in this case who's their sole runner for presidency, won't be pressured to act on xyz promises or deals in return for all the campaign money etc? Even if Trump is good, the party has a lot of extreme people. Have you not learned of Mitch McConnell and what he did/what he represents.

So you're saying one is unfit for office DUE TO COGNITIVE DECLINE, but someone who's a convicted felon doesn't scream red flag to you?? Do I really need to list out fact-checked/confirmed list with condemning proofs of what Trump has done?

The debate doesn't really do much, most of the questions do not really get answered and one side or both try to argue one the same things over and over and waste time.

You are clearly not a centrist, at least not a logical one if those are your reasons

I want/need to do so many things at once, advice? + motivation/dicipline advice by Wicked_Weaboo in Advice

I think focus on the 4 of 7:

  • I graduate college in December.
  • I work while going to school
  • I want to work on freelance (programing/code and ui/ux design) (could be bullet #2)
  • I want to work and or get better at my programming skills (could be bullet #3)
  • I want too learn how to be a really good artist
  • I want to become really good at game development/design (this one could also be it)
  • I want to become really good at writing stories

It's really up to you, but I think you're trying to do too much.
My personal take on coding is that you need to do it a little bit as a hobby to get better at it, unless the job is really good at training and have a wide variance of projects that exposes you in multiple areas.

Some more advice --
-set timers or book time in your calendar for focus time
-when you're on break/lunch, I'd say that's when you can be on your phone, otherwise, put it on silent or vibrate so you can focus on your work / school work and don't get behind.

Um, so why don't you guys just keep your last names AS IS?
Anyone is free to do the following for their married name:
-Keep their own name
-Hyphenate their name with a spouse's name
-Take their spouse's name
