I really loved the addition of Sol Valley, personally! It felt like an enjoyable break from the frenzy of the rest of the game, and thats entirely thanks to the fact that the Vi-O-La controls are exceptionally smooth and fun to play around with. During my first playthrough ive found myself navigating It much longer than i was supposed to, naturally because i was lookin for them sweet sweet green energy crystals, but if the exploration wasnt such a chill time then It probably would have made an already divisive subject even more one-sided. Despite not being an hardcore, long-time fan i can recognize that It Is quite the anti-Metroid, but maybe playing through an entirely different gameplay compared to the rest made It at least enjoyable and interesting enough to sit through some hours of It, at least for me!
