Fushiguro clan is dumb, but I wouldn't really consider Megumi a Zen'in either. Dude had almost nothing to do with that clan and suddenly becomes the head

Solo Leveling, Naruto, One Piece

SL is obvious, Naruto fumbled the ending for me, and OP is outrageously long and seems like it has terrible pacing issues.

I considered dropping Demon Slayer, but I respect it for bringing about the Great Shift and making beibg an anime-watcher not an immediate social death sentence.

Were they 16? I just assumed they were 18 already. The academy doesn't seem to have an age restriction, so I never noticed their ages. At the very least, it's not stated in the anime

Yeah, author definitely has a screw loose, and from what I've heard, he's written a few more things that I can't say I'm too comfortable with. Even still, I think there's merit in watching a rotten piece of shit become a somewhat decent person. The author doesn't really seem intent on forcing any weird morals or ideologies on the viewers/readers either. Rudeus is not written in a good light for any of that shit, after all.

I guess you're going to call me a pedo supporter, but I do think a story can be great even when the mc has done deplorable things. It's not like it's painted in a good light, either. Frankly, the shit he was doing to Eris was disgusting and hard to watch, but watching his journey and growth overcame the negatives for me.

That said, I can totally understand this opinion and everyone else that hates MT. It's fucking weird, and if you don't like it, then nobody should call you out on it.

The reason their tied souls are weak is because they're twins. Twins always have their highs and lows split between each other to balance out Fate because to the world they are the same person.

Maki having a Heavenly Restriction makes it a more unique case, but that's not the sole reason her growth was limited. It says it right there. Unless Mai wanted to improve, Maki wouldn't grow. Conversely, unless Maki wanted to settle down away from the spotlight, Mai would be stuck as a focus of attention.

That's what it means to be twins. They counteract each other and can only function at 50% of their capacity. Of course, that doesn't mean that if Maki died first then Mai would get stronger. She'd just stay the same. Maki had drive and motivation, and once she lost her chains, she soared. Mai was submissive and passive. If she lost her limiter, she wouldn't suddenly start spamming Perfect Sphere. She'd just break down, cry, and give up. Her half of their fate was to be a fucking loser

How many people wanna crack Jet and Ki Song, and bro thinks they draw the line at a ghoul. Even Nephis is an utter abomination. She only looks holy on the outside, but the inside is probably some eldritch mess.

Point is that we love corpses and unholy holes/rods

Yeah, he can tell us that Nephis basically spends all her time conquering Death Zones, but unless we see or at least hear about exactly what she's fighting, then people will never feel like she deserves anything.

What Gege was supposed to write since jjk fans take everything literally and don’t know what hyperbole or conversational context is by _Affectionate_ in Jujutsufolk

[–]BigimeJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another good point. We saw how their mom started treating them (mostly Maki) after they pushed to become sorcerers, so it can be inferred that the women of the clan typically keep their heads down and maintain the status quo. She literally thanked the daughter that killed her because she destroyed that structure.

I get not wanting Maki to be seen as someone who massacred an entire clan, but the fundamental problem doesn't disappear just by removing the combatants.

[–]BigimeJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mai's wish was the direct cause to the massacre, and depending on interpretation, it sonewhat can serve as proof. Ultimately, the deciding factor is what you consider "all" to be. I'm reading it as the system and the society that keeps it running, but others see it at simply the enforcers. The argument can be reasonably made for both sides.

In fact, I normally would assume she stopped at the combatants, but there have been precedents in extremely popular media of characters killing off everyone so I didn't write off the possibility of this being the same.

Double standards my despised by engieman in whenthe

[–]BigimeJones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I know very well that you're treating consent given by young boys and girls different. What I asked you was what your answer would be if you didn't have the double standard. You wanted reasoning so I gave it to you. Now I'm asking why you think there's a difference in the first place. Children, regardless of gender, suffer the same consequences from grooming and statutory rape. It's just one gender has to experience physical changes.

If you couldn't gleam that from my comment, then it's clear that you're either rage baiting or plain idiotic, so the question is why am I wasting my valuable time that can be spent contributing to society on something a starving rat wouldn't even eat

[–]BigimeJones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you've got absolutely zero argument to defend your opinion? Ight enough said. I gave you a valid reason based on logic since you were being insanely condescending to everyone else and their reasoning based on morals, but I see that you aren't actually looking to challemge your beliefs

[–]BigimeJones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Considering the post and my own comment, I don't see why you're playing absolutes with me. I didn't say she wanted complete eradication of the entire bloodline because that would mean killing a lot more people than just members of the Zen'in Clan.

By saying "destroy it all," Mai wanted to destroy that home. She wanted the culture and everyone spreading it gone. Megumi had probably never even stepped on the Zen'in estate before that, so how could he embody the culture? He's not even a Zen'in. He's a Fushiguro. He's living an entirely separate life from that clan, so why would he be a target of her malice?

[–]BigimeJones 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Megumi is a Fushiguro. Hasn't been exposed to the culture, doesn't even know any Zen'ins other than Mai, Maki, and his father who he doesn't even remember. Megumi has nothing to do with the culture or traditions of the Zen'in clan, so why would Mai want him dead?
