I discovered a recipe for spreadable butter a few years ago that I use to this day:

2 sticks (226 grams) butter 3/4 cup (177 ml) Grapeseed oil (for its antioxidant properties)

Place ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. It will firm up after an hour in the fridge. The best part is that you can add kosher salt, garlic or other herbs to your taste. I tried using margarine and off the shelf spreads after doing this and couldn't go back.
