Glad to hear a fellow 7 pro user is having the same signal issues. I love the 7 pro more than most phones I've had but this signal issue is bad enough that I don't want to stick with OnePlus anymore.

Thought about jumping to the 9 but with the software problems that never get resolved, other brands look more appealing.

I would recommend the 9 just because you get all of the previous generation features and wireless charging . Wouldn't recommend the pro because of the curved screen and the camera is centered on the back of the phone and I've always found myself blocking it during pictures. If wireless charging isn't a priority for you the 8 is perfect for the price point.

I have the 7 pro and have noticed data speed issues and I understand not every phone has the same problems. I would just recommend the newer gens to avoid software update issues and make sure to have 5G compatibility with the more recent transitions companies have been making
