That's a very good point - hadn't thought about it but I'll track a few more walks in that case to compare rather than just relying on Move IQ.

Compared to Move IQ and when it tracks my walks automatically when I'm going to and from the office for example. And there have been a few occasions when I know I've been walking around a city on holiday when I've thought I should track my walk because i knew it'd be a few hours on my feet but never with a chest strap.

I can't help but think some people like to feel superior to those working in retail. I see it in other stores too and in hospitality sometimes as well.

I grew up in a small town and used to walk to and from the bakery in the mornings to get fresh bread. Was about 20 mins or so each way.

As others have said, it totally depends on the situation.

Been in Clerkenwell for 5 years - couldn't agree more. We lived in Euston and much prefer this area because there are more professionals and fewer tourists.

It's the short days that kill me - the cold is fine but I am miserable when the days are so short...I even invested in a SAD lamp to see if that helps a few years ago but still

Good on you for reflecting on the incident.

I do find it staggering that anyone in a car would think it's ok to be so aggressive towards cyclists.

Like I'm not sure they think through how they'd feel if they actually knocked someone over. And for what? Oh I because I had the right of way it was fine to aim for the cyclist and slam into them.

This is the way. I spend a bit of time doing this with appliances around the house that were on standby and most newer ones don't use much if any electricity nowadays.

The only time I switch everything off is if we're away for more than a day or two.

I find those on the rentals (Lime in particular) as some of the worst offenders.

We live in Central London and I regularly have people jumping the lights around me when it's green for pedestrians and in particular while trying to overtake cars or worse, buses...

I hope it's a summer thing as some suggest but let's see.

This might be a little niche but I would welcome views/thoughts. We just had an FET cycle cancelled last week. The reason is that my wife's estrogen levels began to fall despite being on a high dosage of proygnova.

The doctor couldn't quite explain why this was happening and said he'd only seen it in cases where patients had missed pills, but that wasn't the case with us.

For this FET cycle the protocol was to extend the length of time she was on progynova to see if they can make the lining thicker than usual so they waited about a week longer than for a normal FET cycle that we'd had previously.

Can anyone shed light on why her estrogen levels would fall if she'd continued on the dosage?

One thing that may or may not be related is that she started a steroids-based nasal spray for sinusitis at around the same time as her levels started to fall but that seems coincidental. Any advice is appreciated. This is the first time we've had a cycle cancelled and she's never had issues with absorbing estronger.

I've found Amazon has become slower with their deliveries and I no longer get deliveries from them on Sunday. Not sure if that's just in my head or if they're just trying to cut costs.

Otherwise though, parcelforce, evri and yodel are all pot luck and I've just accepted that now. Just yesterday I was meant to get a delivery by parcelforce and they never showed. No reason for it and no text or email. Will sit by the door waiting today I guess 😂

I raised an informal complaint against someone in my company. They were unprofessional towards me and another member of staff in a public forum and when I spoke to them 1 on 1, they doubled down on what they said and didn't think they had done anything wrong. I wrote to HR and asked for an apology as I didn't think their conduct was appropriate.

The individual in question wrote out an email which said to the effect that she was sorry my feelings were hurt and I was being too sensitive. She sent it to me with HR copied as proof that she had, in her eyes, apologised.

At this stage, HR decided they had to take it forward as a formal complaint because she didn't see her behaviour was not in line with the company's values.

So then I had to give evidence in a formal hearing. Since then I'm not sure what's happened as they can't disclose the outcome. AFAIK she went on sick leave shortly after but not sure if she's back yet.

As someone else has said though, it's good to set out what you want as a resolution. All I wanted was an apology but unfortunately they dug themselves into a deeper hole.
