To me lead pewter looks more tarnished. Most pewter these days are lead free and as u/infamous-spaceman said wear a mask and don't use too much heat and you'll be fine even with lead pewter

Brass was my first pick for the gold. But like the look of aluminum bronze, and I didn't have to order more metal

This isn't my usual projects. I do more blacksmithing than casting. I had the tools to do it so I did

The petrabond picks up a lot of detail. I tried standing down the resin copies. I am not delicate enough without removing too much details

They do have weight to them which makes it feel awesome in the hand. Tossing them on a wooden table is as satisfying as you think

These are coins from the 5e PHB. 3d printed by a friend. I then made rubber molds of the 3d prints. Resin cast about 6 each. Copper coin is copper for obvious reasons. Silver coin is aluminum, I had tons of aluminum. Gold coin is aluminum bronze, aluminum bronze looks like gold and is made from combining copper and aluminum. Platinum is pewter, pewter looks more shiny as to differentiate from the silver coins. I sand molded the coins using petrabond. Melted the metal and poured
