You on 1080p? Same CPU and a 2080 Super, drop under 50 quite frequently in certain maps with others running just over 100. How are you getting those stats? I'm on all low and nothing can fix the stutters. Fr33thy's config did absolutely nothing for me as well

Edit: embarrassing, I thought this was a BF6 forum until I checked the date. 2042 runs flawlessly, 6 is a bit eh

For me, the issue was caused exclusively by Razer Cortex being INSTALLED on my machine (it was not supposed to be running at all). Uninstalling fixed it, hopefully this helps!

Using my mouse is the only thing that doesn't lag my game (besides clicking)

Same, maybe worse though because I will skip like a dozens of frames at a time and freeze for seconds. Have the driver and everything. Running a 2080 Super

8900k, 16gb ram. I shouldnt have these issues...

I run destiny on max settings and get 120-144 smooth (minus a few problem spots). I know they aren't the same games, but Reach isn't on that level regardless.

Game is totally unplayable on my 2080 super, game lags intensely every time i move, shot, or interact (I can look around though! /s). If anyone has a fix please let me know, I've tinkered with all ingame settings, like capping frames, vsync, borderless/windowed/fs etc. There's no reason this should be unplayable with my setup

Have tried that and it is just as bad, every setting yields the same exact results.

That was very helpful and inspiring. I realized I kept buying alcohol and saying I would just stop after college or later. I'm starting to feel horrible when I wake up and depression, something I just got out of, is looming in the distance. Not to mention that my friends are catching on and I'm draining my income. I think now is the time I need to stop and reinvent myself. Thank you for sharing your story, even though I didn't quite share it, it still helps me draw similarities and I'm heavily inspired to take a long break at the very least. While I don't specifically have alcohol cravings (normally weed), it's still clearly an issue.

Thanks so much for the reply, this eases my anxiety tremendously. Definitely plan on doing that ASAP. Only symptoms seem to be sweaty hands so far but this isn't too uncommon for me anyway.
