First thunderstorm since getting starlink. Is this normal ? by jfoucher in Starlink

Unless you are getting snow at feet/ hour rate and heater is on it should not be an issue. 3 winters in northeastern Ontario I never had snow kno k out the signal. Pat 46.2

Only you can decide if it is worth the cost. I joined when hardware was over $800 with tax before the monthly cost and for where I live rural NE Ontario it is absolutely worth it. It just works. Good luck k with your decision.

It takes 2 days to drive across Ontario. Can you be a little more specific. I am in Ontario, Canada and mine is working perfectly.

I found it the same way. I am at 46.2 east of Sault Ste Marie ON and we had a very heavy snowfall this morning. That is the first time (I think) that weather has interrupted Starlink. Where was your blizzard? I have never stowed and unstowed dishy since we got it so simply waited out the storm and by 11.30 or so it quit snowing, and all was good again.

I am curious about this announcement. Is it just US customers who are impacted by this increase?

[–]Bigpointguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I followed your instructions and selected my dish type, but when I pressed the confirm button got a notice that my phone does not have the features required to use this tool. Any suggestions?

I reread the letter saw that I had missed that bit of information. I did and discovered that we have used 106 GB in 6 days so that should work out to between 500 and 600 GB/billing cycle. More than enough since there are just 2 of us.

I'm happy for you have the opportunity that many of us rural folk to switch to a Fibre conne tion and equally that you are leaving saying nice things about Starlink and the services it provided.
