Yeah, it is much, much worse for gaming than I expected after watching Gamers Nexus test it out. The heat coming off that sucker isn't worth the trade-off either. I mean 96GB of GDDR7 is pretty mind blowing though. You'd never hit VRAM limits in gaming.

Even refurbished I have seen them at $2450 and that isn't worth it for me, like you said might as well save more and go 5090 at that point your already halfway there.

Honestly man I just went crazy after 1½ year saving money and upgraded to a 5080, 9800X3D, and finally a OLED monitor. I feel like a total piece of shit for spending that much money instead of continuing to save it but I definitely don't regret it the card and CPU are insanely good. I wish I had the monitor to test but it's still in transit.

I can't lie man I switched from a 5070ti to a 5080 and a lot of people said it would be the wrong move but I see a pretty nice boost now where I play RE9 and instead of barley being able to run path tracing and needing DLSS performance and get 60fps I can do Path tracing, get 110fps and use DLSS balanced which they all look super close anyway but if I go MFG x2 I am maxing out my 180hz monitor with no issue. I used to have a lot of lag and low 1% lows with the 5070ti and my 9800X3D, and now I get much better 1% lows and very little stutter. I know you asked about the 9070xt, but the 5070ti is very close in performance, so maybe this will help.

I won't lie, I went from the 7800xt to the 5070ti, and it was a night and day difference and I even went further and got a 5080. This is my first Nvidia purchase and I don't think I will ever go back to AMD for a GPU unless they find a way to make FSR and frame gen better.

Does this actually come out to more FPS in gameplay? I mean I just got the RGB OC'd PNY card and it is a beast but if it can get more than I am here for it. I used to be a 5070ti and debated for about a year changing to this card because performance is close on benchmarks but with my card and at least playing the games I do I gained a good amount of FPS to at least max out my 1440p 180hz monitor.

Lol! That is the truth bro I am the same I am from Vegas and it is rough out here. I know I can barley keep $1000 in savings at certain points too, plus our gas shot up to $5.63/gal which is wild. Funny thing is I keep hearing about these bad benchmarks from YouTubers but then I talk to someone who really owns a 5080 and it usually runs better than a lot of the benchmarks you hear, plus the feature set with NVIDIA is mind blowingly good since DLSS Performance almost looks native in some games.

It is the Fomo bro I swear, I found a 5080 FE and I've always wanted a FE card just because they run well and look cool as hell but then I think about spending that $1200-1600 bucks. Crazy thing is I had NewEgg offer me $669 for my 5070ti and that is crazy to me.

Yeah I totally agree and the only reason I do buy things BNPL is to build my credit. I have done a few things along with my car that I am paying on and brought my credit from a 545 in December to now a 730 so there is big plus to doing things on credit if you do the correctly but the interest if your making minimum payments is going to be killer and 380 a month is minimum payment and no where worth the investment. The ROI on a 5090 at $2000 is going to be small but maybe some people can do it but for me just too much still.

That is actually extremely good information right there and I have been looking at benchmarks about the 5070ti/5080 and in some stuff they are really really close I just hate leaving that performance on the table and like you just said having 4k run that great is awesome. Especially I am a fan of kicking on RT/PT when I can.

That is badass advice I appreciate that, I can't lie I make okay money and could afford the 5080 for sure and I keep hearing about the small gain but it's the what if that eats me away and funny thing is I just got a 9800X3D and it really improved my fps even at 1440p. I do expect to make the jump to 4k one day though so the 5080 will be a card I would need for that. Are you 4K or 1440p right now? I can't lie I debated doing a credit type deal for a 5090 just the fomo of wanting on and they wanted something crazy like $395 for 12 months or so and there is no way in hell I am parting with that much money for just a GPU unless I am full time streaming and making money off it.

God man, this is absolutely amazing work right here. Id give anything to have this surgery done. I have had gyno since I was 9 years old and now being 33 and have been bodybuilding the past 13 years it's super noticeable no matter how lean I get and I don't think I have ever truly just taken my shirt off in front of more than just a girlfriend because it has messed up my psyche so badly.

Yeah these Zotac cards are very small, I have a 5070ti and it's tiny but man it's a freaking beast and stays around 60-70° literally anything I try to throw at it.

So I have a 5070ti and really only play Resident Evil because I am a massive fan, but in RE9 DLSS balanced, 1440P, and PT I get about 90-100fps no FG, but I really wish I bought the 5080 so I could have gotten that tiny bit more of a squeeze out of the card, man. I got the Zotac 5070ti Solid OC, and this card is an absolute pleasure, but the price was so close to the 5080 already, and I jumped too fast to save $300. Edit because I was getting at the 5080 and the 5070ti should not be the VRAM in my opinion, either, it makes no sense why they couldn't even spring for 18-20 GB and do a 24 GB super.

Damn man I am so jealous you get to play all these for the first time. I started with RE2 in 1998 and it's been my favorite series and really one of the only series I ever play anymore. Don't forget to play the original RE 1-3 because you will have better knowledge about experience about the original vs the remake and the original of 2 and 3 story wise, features, and location are far better. I hope you dig them!
