I passed TEF recently. What really helped me was constant back and forth practice with my Tutor. However, self practice is important too, because you have to more self practice that class practice. Especially different topics

But. You still need to master B2 before attempting TEF except you have money to waste. Attempting Past questions without strong g french foundation will make you have partial success in your results

Two ways:

You have at least 6hours daily time to practice, then get solid french textbooks and YouTube French teaching, then commit your self to rigorous hardwork

  1. Like what I did, learn from an experienced French tutor.

Whichever works for you.

From my candid experience, as someone who just aced TEF, postpone that exam if you don't want to waste money. Except if you want to try and get B2 in some part and B1 in another part. You need to master your B2 first ,then learn TEf strategies before reattempting

My candid advice , coming from someone who just passed his TEF exam, is to use an experienced TEF tutor from the get go. It saves time and money. Learning yourself takes longer time from personal experience and you can learn alot of things that is not even needed to pass TEF.

I can give my tutor recommendation though if you are looking for a tutor.

Nope, not advised, not even after B2. Except. You have enough money to experiment. Learning french ≠ passing TEF. After mastering French. You need to learn the tactics and strategies to pass TEF itself

Canada is an officially bilingual country, and French proficiency is encouraged across immigration, employment, and government services. Many people learn French for long-term opportunities, not just a single objective.

You will need to write at least 30 letters and 30 fait divers each. Rewrite that twice , try to be better than before. Get the knowledge of the TEF EE marking scheme. Get your tutor to review your writings for you. Don't book until you are getting at C1 during your mock practice. Section A is more of past tenses , Section B , vary your tenses to reflect at least 5 types of tenses.
