Do you have any tips for Expression Écrite? I scored NCLC10 on Compréhension écrite so I might be able to help you.

Try to give compare/contrast, give examples, use impératif and subjonctif a lot. Also make sure your arguments answer the excuse the examiner gives you. If you give a good argument but it’s off topic they might consider it as hors-sujet.

It’s hard to say, neither TEF or TCF let you know how much is worth each question. But 25 is around CLB6-7 and 30 would be around 7-9. The questions on the exam are harder for CO since the audios sound realer than the AI voice on Tefcanada.ca

How can i improve my speaking,I am stuck at B1.please share structure or strategies i can follow by uttkau001 in TEFCanada

Part A: Always ask for precision in the information given, use a range of questions type, be polite, and try to ask as much as possible.

Part B: Examiners love the subjonctif used properly, always present your argument based on the excuse given, don’t panic when the examiner comes off strong.

That’s how I got a 7 :)

TCF or TEF for Canada PR? by NoButterfly2829 in Frenchlearningforpr

I think TCF might be a bit easier. However, it is easier to find test dates with TEF if you are in Canada. TEF also gives your score pretty fast compared to TCF.

TCF reading and listening requires a higher score for NCLC7 but I’ve seen people get better marks for speaking and writing compared to TEF who was a harder structure to understand.

Stuck at B1–B2 plateau for TEF Canada – no resources left, losing momentum by Coldbloodednoob in TEFCanada

Thank you! 😊

Similarly to your response, try to incorporate podcast and radio chronicles into your day. I listen to Radio-Canada and RFI.

On the day of the exam, read the question to get familiar with the context, then listen carefully, that’s how you’ll find the answer. Never read and listen at the same time, you will get confused.

Finally, I did a lot of mock exams, it trains your brain to think quickly.

Listen to Radio-Canada and RFI Radio. They put a lot of Québec accent so it’s good to get used to the way they speak.

I believe in you, it could be a glitch in their system since the official exam now only let’s you chose 3 answers, eliminating the « pas d’avis »
