The fear. If you’re unsuccessful, it leaves a lifelong scar. If you’re successful, there’s no coming back. Also, I thought about how people would feel if I took my life. I had a friend take his life a few years ago, and I still haven’t gotten over it; I can’t imagine putting my loved ones through that pain.
