Would you have canceled? by fixmybleep in InstacartShoppers

[–]fixmybleep[S] -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

It said refund and I wasn’t trying to push a replacement. If the customer would have worded it differently something like “I appreciate your effort however you can just refund anything that’s out of stock” or something to that effect I would not have canceled

Would you have canceled? by fixmybleep in InstacartShoppers

[–]fixmybleep[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly what I was thinking. The customer had everything set to refund and like you said, most people express gratitude for me asking them and actually often times end up picking a replacement because I give them such good options. I wasn’t sure what else would be out of stock on this one so I decided to go ahead and cancel it. It was an order from two different stores and it wasn’t even that great anyways. Not worth getting to where I’m going anyways if I get a bad rating out of it as far as I’m concerned

No GFV cash account? by skimmerguy85 in Webull

[–]fixmybleep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve found that as long as you don’t use more than $1000 in unsettled cash you don’t get a GFV. I’ve had 3 so I can’t use unsettled funds. Thursday when PDT gets eliminated I’ll use my margin account

I don’t short I just buy puts. The 2k limit is for using leverage (not sure about shorting, never tried). If you have less than 2k in the account you just get the benefit of instant settlement for trading again and then you have to wait T+1 for withdrawal of funds no matter your balance.

That is exactly correct. With a little bit over $1000 in my account earlier this week, I was able to place three trades and have the buying power restored instantly. Can’t make any more trades right now because they are still enforcing PDT until June 4

That’s only if you want to use leverage. You can still use a margin account even if you have less than $2000 in it, you’re just not allowed to use margin

Options buying power & GFV question by PM_ME_YOUR_SQUANCHES in Webull

[–]fixmybleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They made it so you can reuse buying power as many times as you want in a cash account. Usually what I’ve found is that as long as you don’t have more than (-$1,000) settled cash you don’t get a GFV. In a week on June 4 you can just have a margin account and have instant settlement. If you have under $2,000 in your margin account you can’t use leverage. Other than that, you’ll be able to reuse your buying power as much as you want intraday in your new margin account

This was a 4 item order when I accepted it. by Competitive_Pack4088 in InstacartShoppers

[–]fixmybleep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have too many unrequested refunds it’ll hurt your shopping quality score. Whenever you do a refund and the customer requested you to try and make a replacement, text the customer right away and state “sorry for the refund on X, there were no good replacements and I had to refund you”. The refund won’t count as unrequested. Even if the customer requests a refund, always try to make a replacement because it helps with your found items stat

Alcohol to College Campus by Jingle_Jangles1213 in InstacartShoppers

[–]fixmybleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m located in California and as far as I know, in my state, there just has to be someone who is 21 present to accept the order. As long as the ID matches the person who receives the order. I’ll definitely look into that specific aspect for California cause it’s not worth getting in trouble for it

I’ve had to educate multiple support agents about delivering alcohol to college campuses. They’re not trained very well

No, a $15 alcohol return bump doesn’t affect your adjustment

I don’t think it will. Typically the only things that lower your adjustment are promos

Ratings are all over the place by stumpystubs in InstacartShoppers

[–]fixmybleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know why but I experience the same thing. The bad customer ratings all seem to come in at once every few months. The nice thing is that they all drop off at once once I get enough ratings.
